    BolloxInBruges:

For me personally, daytona is miles ahead of the ghost.   Daytona is more than precise enough.  Sacrificing anything in 'dingability' for small increase in precision doesn't seem to be worthwhile.

fwiw i haven't hit a single putt with the ghost.  9 holes with the fast meter 2010 redwood was enough of a trial for me (waste of 1000 credits or whatever it was).

    In conclusion, daytona ftw!

I have to agree with Bollie. I bought the 2010 redwood and used it for about a year and when you hit the ding it is great but it's just too fast to ding consistently. I Bought the Ghost and I tried it for about a week and I could never figure out the meter. And Jim the avatar movement method does not take the meter speed out of the equation. If anything with the shorter meter travel it magnifies the speed so to speak. I finally bought back the Daytona and am starting to putt better.

What I feel is needed is a putter with a more logical scale system and a meter speed similar to the Dayton. Too many of the scales have less than full movements like the 15 foot scale that has 2 1/2 movements or the 90, 150 and 300. Maybe a scale based on 3 foot with the 15 foot meter having 5 3 foot movements and the other scales progressing from there. like 15 30 60 90 120 150 and 300

    15 would have 5 3 foot movements

    30  5 x6

    60 5x12

    90 5x18

    120 5x24

    150 5x30

    300 5x60

That would be a much more logical putter scale IMO.

I respectfully disagree. The swing doesn't have time to accelerate when it's only 1/2" long.

For me the extra precision gained by the 25 foot scale is invaluable.  Especially on tournament and championship greens.

Each to their own, its what you feel comfertable with (as in real life every one uses different equipment).  Maybe Bollie(Sam) prefers the daytona due to slower meter, i hit ding with ghost 80% of the time, and have noticed the benefits. I think Bollie knows the greens as well as his back yard so would be just as proficient with the "deadly" spider LOL.  I might play a few rounds with daytona (as its been ages since i last used one,had redwood after that, but wasn't as good on greens then.), so now my putting is better i can compare the both for sure.

But as for the 25 foot scale on ghost that goes up in 10,20,25 its well handy. most of my putts are either a few pixels above or below the 10 foot mark, and now i'm used to it, its usefull for tournament greens, and meter seems easier to hit ding than going up to 8 to 10 foot on 15 foot scale.

Funny, I had the Daytona, and usually prefer the slower meter, but I had a lot more luck with the Redwood.  maybe I should try the Daytona again, as I am a much better putter than I was then.

I did, however, prefer the Daytona to the lower Redwood.

Strange, you seem to have a putting average of 1.58 as well.

Even stranger that i don't give out advise on putting...because with a 1.58 i  feel am not qualified...next!
