"My Profile page" slow loading

  I have zero friends on my list and my profile page takes forever to load.  It should be lickity split, and not at a snails pace.

  I haven't cleared my cache, which should improve loading times.

  Shade, I'm thinking profile loading is related to pre-loading the activities list rather than number of friends.  Once the profile page does load the activities pages load instantly.

  Remember we saw this same issue late last year, then in December all our blogs, and activities were cleared and profile loading was fast.  Blogs were soon restored and loading was still fast.  Seven months later our activity records have grown back to 30+ pages and loading is slow.  All that leads me to conclude it has something to do with data base access of our activity records.

  What are you running? I just went to my profile page and it took all of 3 seconds.

  I think we're are considering doing some improvements how we deal with the info you see. It's still in planning stages though and I am not sure if anything will come out of is since we'd wanna see definite improvement and it simply my not happen.

  Strange isn't it.  But, if you look at the amount of information being displayed on your profile page, it should be quick and painless.

  Stranger yet, I get quicker response browsing through the forums than accessing my profile page.

  You could try getting rid of ur nebula pictures and stuff like that to see if it helps. Everything i load (ie) profile page, pro shop forums, tourtaments take no time at all, i click turn my head and turn back its loaded.

  I have to log in through the forum pages sometimes, as it can take well over a minute for my profile page to even appear, and other days it pops up within a few seconds.

  Rarely players check their Profile page. Nobody EVER receives / reply’s to their pm messages, BECAUSE - THE LOAD TIME IS REDICULOUS. Also- Please WGT. Could you PLEASE add a Green pm message light to the “Game Client window”? I suggested this over a year ago. It is the only way players, friends, and cc members EVER notice they either have received a pm as well as answer a pm – message. There have been times that its 2 – 3 days later I finally receive a reply from a pm. Rarely most players check their Profile and now that the load time is forever to load, you can forget about getting a pm reply from a friend or a fellow cc member.

  Sorry for the rant but as a cc Owner, it gets very frustrating when you try to get out messages to your fellow members and it’s after the fact that you receive a reply.

  Perhaps you are right. But if I click on a fellow CC member their page is slow to load also.

  As, for the nebula pictures, it does brighten up my profile.  Also, the nebula pictures are jpg files and I think the biggest one is 14kb.  Thus, the size of the file is of no consequence.
