  simple enough match, SMorris6 and KenLUga

    very available, we immediately managed to find an agreement to play the match.

  the game started off right away with the first two holes for us, they were a bit unlucky. It was a pleasure.

  akatiger74 and mikegooner0 forfeited the match to doccowart and phoenixlord. On Saturday there was a mix up between EST and EDT and Sunday akatiger had trouble logging in. We gave them 3 days to change their minds but have not heard back.

  Okay Folk's have updated the 1st post on page #1 with the prize pool, graciously sponsored by ujjbnjk (Peter), Thank you very much Peter.

  As well if you take a look at the New Banner, you will see the Championship Trophy in the upper right hand corner, (courtesy of WigerToods), Thank you very much Johnny, looks great and very much appreciated, Sir!

  Just a couple more Matches left to wrap up Round #1, and we can get Round #2 officially started. 

  The option for The WGT weekly 9-hole single play is only there to be used as a last resort, if there is no way possible to get the Match scheduled and played! YankeeJim has come up with this solution to global positioning and time constraints, to help with keeping the Matches moving along. We have had 1 match in Round #1 that has had to use it, so by following the rule the way it was set to be used, the Bracket has been updated to reflect that.

  Jim, Brad and Finny are the Rules Committee, as we move along their decisions will be adhered to in all conflicts that may arise, please be vigilant and lets try to have some fun, and win some great prizes!

  Update: BigCountry and I have both played the Wk41 single play 9 holer, think that's the only way round 1 is going to happen for us

  Glad we all got on and got to hit balls in the alt format.  We finished the 9 holes at AS and made it 5 extras and still at AS.  We agreed to reconvene tomorrow at the same time.  I'm going to assume that's...

  Noon for OreBudster

  2PM for Lonnie

  3PM for me

  and 8PM for ConfusionMaster

  I'll be "Red" or "Green" before then...so when I see us all on and ready I'll send an invite if that happens to be before 2pm central.

  We're having a blast...GREAT GAME so far!!!!  Question...

  Yeah, after all the kerfuffle to get the game started it was great fun.

  And very close, we did reconvene the next day and the champions edged out the Legends on the 9th extra hole.  (Maybe we should have asked for that 'Gift' :D)

  Yepper..it ended on hole #18.  I was actually seeing a 3rd set of 9 starting...CRAZY!!!!  What a great match vs. a great team of really good guys.  I hope we play vs. one another again some day.

  Definitely fun playing Alt vs. the alternative of 4 players playing the 9-hole weekly solo.  While that's an alternative, it really shouldn't be an option as it negates the entire meaning of the tourney.  Believe me, if we were able to get it done over 4 time zones for 4 players then nobody should have an excuse....PERIOD.

  Also...as we move on this format won't we need "handicaps" of sorts if a team enters and it's apparent that they're overmatched?  In the World Cup we conceded 2 holes to the lesser player.  I think something similar is needed for this Alt-Shot tourney.

  I don't and will lobby against it. If 2 Legends think they can compete then let them show it. No gifts, IMO.

  Conceded holes = gifts.
