The key words here are "ranked rounds", it's possible this 'hack' had played 1,000 practice [unranked] rounds, thus becoming very proficient. ! Lately I , and many others, play a helluva lot of alternate-shot games which are not ranked but which add to your experience and, possibly, skill level.

Why ? and also alternate shot games improve your play while 'ranking' remains hack/amareur/whatever. Note, I was exaggerating with the 1,000 games ! but the point is still valid that status/level is only affected by completed ranked or rated games.

Lizzie said it best / but the player that can shoot in or near low 60's at Oakmont is more then likely the same type of person(s) that can use lvl37 K15 driver in to the 17 MPH wind and hit 280 yards plus with a WGT U.L. ball.

You know God Like that all of us pee on's should feel blessed to have been in the presence of such Greatness.

I just play my game, my way have fun and roll on then smile when it goes to sudden death and they fall 1 down. Just cause they can make something happen does not mean they got game.

Just remember all / it is only a game just a game, and if they need to cut corners to feel good and still only end up 2 strokes ahead. We may suck but look what it takes them to keep up. Kind of like bragging about beating up a cripple kid - what do they really gain !!!

Here is my take on it. I realize that some of you may not like, but it's my take.

    1. Rules were not made by me. I just try to enforce it. I try to be unbiased but I do give benefit of the doubt to someone who I know. Does it make me biasted? I don't know but If i knew someone to be cheating, I will be the first to ban them. With that said, assumptions are not facts.

    2. I asked him to pm me the user name cause frankly I do not know who he/she is referring to. I do not patrol the forums LOOKING for folks to ban nor I check every ready go and other tournament, LOOKING to folks to ban. Hence, when reports do come in, we evaluate them on case by case basis. If we do not have clear proof, then that's all.

    3. Of course I understand your frustration but no system is perfect and of course it's possible for someone to stay in the tier below their abilities, but we have rules and a list we have to satisfy before we take action. That's how we can be consistent and not ban on sight or because lizzie talked back to me. For that she will be punished on the course. All kidding aside, I hope you know why I said what I said and as most can tell you I am fairly approachable guy... here or on IRC.

    Take care

    ChrisC1977:

    Very well said Lizzie!

I totally agree with you Lizzie.     All WGT has to do is look at their tournament leaderboards and see all those ridiculously Low scores posted by the Hacks & Amatuers.

Solution?  Just move them up to Master or Tour Master.  Very simple solution WGT!

A player could play 300+ practice rounds + alternate shot matches to gain EX points to level up to bigger equipment & still have an HACK average of 150.

But how ever a player chooses to play the game is there business  (my option) as long as it is fun (the main thing)

I could send you a link of the profile of a hack that shot a 62 at Kiawah his first ranked round his first day here, but I'm not going to go there right now.  WGTIcon has been made aware of this profile.  In most of these cases, you will find the low scores shortly after creation of the account.  And, I must say that 1000 practice rounds would put someone well up in level, wouldn't it?  So, these players, while still hacks, would be at least in their 40s in level, not 10-20, which is where you find the most egregious ones.  Take a look at the results of the Unlimited tourneys for hacks.  Man, a lot of 27s, 28s, 30s.

    Lotta naturals, eh?

There has been cheating going on since I joined GWT 18 months ago and that is the reason I don’t enter competitions and waste my money.

Some people on here say there is no cheating, BUT IF THAT IS SO WHY HAS WGT TOLD YOUTUBE TO REMOVE THE CHEATING VIDEO BECAUSE THE COPY-WRITE BELONGS TO WGT. This goes to show that they do know that cheating is going on.

I believe that if the game was a level playing field they would have more people playing in competitions and therefore make more money.
