Or how about we celebrate newbies achievements in the same way we bestow accolades on our older members. Pointing out a players hole in one or amazing stats is not against any rules. After all wgt high lights members profiles every day, so why don't ppl high light one of our gifted newbies and praise them for their achievements instead of accusing them of cheating....get it!

nor I check every ready go and other tournament,

Are you not a moderator of this site?

IMHO when the site has credit (cash) tournaments as one of its key attributes it should be one of your most important duties to review all the leaderboards and check for people cheating the spirit of the site.

Once it became clear many moons ago that this was a flaw on WGT, it should have become someone at WGTs responsibility to stamp it out.

It shouldn't be up to other members to have to point this out via emails or the forums. The fact that so many threads keep appearing should have made that clear to WGT.

This is the procedure I would follow:

Every day you (or someone else at WGT) need to trawl the tournaments - and with your experience suspend pay outs of any tournaments that look to have been infested.

Then, if in your judgement the tournament has been compromised you need to take action. This should involve the cancellation of the tournament and the refund of credits to ALL players. For this purpose, perhaps you can let the free tournaments slide - making the admin on your side less painful.

If you did this, then perhaps the multiples will eventually get bored and clear off.

Granted this takes time. And this is time away from other duties. But it is your job, to put it bluntly.

To put it more bluntly, your job is not playing lots of friendly rounds with your mates on WGT. That is something you can do when the community is happy that the worst of these issues has been resolved i the best way that WHT can resolves them.

FWIW. I am a newly crowned legend with 1000 rounds under my belt. My best round at Oak is 65.

    seems simple...

but if these types of scores are winning comps in the lower grades,  well I think it's bringing the game into disrepute.

The big issue is that it is surely driving new players off the game. Those players that were suckered into this being a 'free' site. Those players not yet hooked enough to spend some credits and get better equipment. Those players where surveys don't work well. Those players looking to enter a tournament in hope of being competitve enough AT THEIR TIER.

Many players will give up on WGT after seeing 60's being posted up. They know their abilities and will not accept that someone in the same position as them can score so low.

They will think - 'what the heck - I have better things to do with my time'.

While WGT has plenty of long term players, would you really want to risk losing so many of your potential new custumers this way. That's not smart. I'd love to se an estimate of sticking rate of sign ups. And I'd love to see how many drift away because of stuff like this.

I have a friend who signed up same time as me. After a month he stopped playing, he told me the game was a con and rigged. He wasn't a bad player, but all he could see was the need to pump money into this site. He may have been put off by people of his own tier posting ridiculous scores.

TBF. The solution od pumping someone up to Master might stop the shennanigans. I would also look very closely into gifting, and who is gifting who on a consistent basis. There could be a few legends/TMs doing very nicely off these hack accounts.

BTW, It's somewhat ironic that the word HACK is so appropriate.

Jalabar, if you continue to ignore the rules, then how do you expect to listen to you? I said that we do not allow posting usernames here, yet you did so knowingly...

Spino, if you do not send me the names, then what do you expect me to do?

Lizzie, I did not make the rules but I happen to enforce them. I also agree with them. In the end, if you disagree it's fine to voice your opinion and I have read it and know it.

    -wgticon

    This is another issue.

TBF. I am with Lizzie on this one, and against you Icon. While I respect the way you have always treated me on these forums, I can't agree with your stance here.

I agree that people should not be named and shamed on these forums. BUT, I think members should have every right to post up a tournament where something is amiss. Especially if the WGT moderators are not doing their paid job of searching for these cheaters.

It comes down to the issue of why should Spino have to post up a thread to tell people. He wouldn't be if you did your job correctly in the first place, OR there were checks in the system that automatically culled this abuse (tier advancement).

What does not help the situation, is you telling members off like they were naughty schoolchildren. Stop quoting the rules as well. We all know the rules. It makes you look like a jobsworth.

Please forgive me again for being blunt. Just do your jobs and sort it out.

It's a real shame that the onus here seems to be more about banning members that speak out rather than controlling the abuses they spoke out about in the first place.

A few kisses for you to make up for the ones that lizzie has withheld.

    WGTicon:
We always wlecome ideas how to implement a system, but it's important to note that most users (and it's fine) only think about their own cause and fail to see big picture how it affects others or weaknesses the system has.

That's not a fair comment. Of course, people have always screamed how unfair it is for TMs to get the great balls and clubs, and how it puts legends at a disadvantage. Since, proved to be rot when you look at the monthly earnings leaderboard. But on most major things on WGT there have been many interesting threads about how to improve the game.

Sometimes WGT listens, sometimes not, sometimes the suggestions are impractical. But to say that most member are only interested in how any changes affects them is wide of the mark.

We ask for more consultation on the development of this game. It's when WGT doesn't consult it's membership that it causes problems for itself. Some examples:

The huge tier change last year, BANG out of the blue, what discord did that cause. No consultation.

The change of payouts in RGs. No consultation. And you dug your heels in on that one. You came on here and told people to suck it up because it wasn't changing back. That nearly lost you a lot of members, until you saw sense.

The Tru Golf tie up. What the hell is that? You have two premium courses coming on line. I know people pleaded for more courses and WGT were worried about losing out to TW, but come on. Again no consultation.

Perhaps, if you did consult, you could make informed decision instead of half-cocked ones that upset people.

IMHO WGT nearly screwed the whole thing up at the beginning of 2011, and the two new courses saved your sorry butts.

Listen to your membership. It's not hard. We pay your wages.
