    WGTicon:
We always wlecome ideas how to implement a system, but it's important to note that most users (and it's fine) only think about their own cause and fail to see big picture how it affects others or weaknesses the system has.

    The System is a mess....

    PeterHopper:

A few kisses for you to make up for the ones that lizzie has withheld.

    Yuck!!!  lol.

BTW I don't enter tournaments or MPC (tried though) because I could not ascertain that all things were fair and this did cloud my intellectual honesty in forming an opinion on some of the winners, or the scores (not talking about those real good players we all know here - hold your horses).

My guess is there are hundreds like me with the consequential potential loss of income for the site. Or not, as multi-accounting certainly brings more revenue in the first place and secondly has a better traction with potential investors as they inflate membership.

I think what most people here want is an open and honest discussion about this issue.

Peter you wrote quite a  bit here, so I'll answer some parts that are appropriate.

    1. It's not my job to check every possible tournament/rg's. My job is a forum moderator, and tournaments/etc are not part of it.  Also, There is way too many of them (probably 75-100 rg's a day?) and for most, not much can be seen from that. But, in past we have vacated some major prizes from folks who broke the rules. I know it's not what you want to hear, but that;s the best I have.

To put it more bluntly, your job is not playing lots of friendly rounds with your mates on WGT. That is something you can do when the community is happy that the worst of these issues has been resolved i the best way that WHT can resolves them.

    2. why not? I can't be here on forums 24x7 doing this. I need a break, i need some sleep, and i like to play few rounds with friends. That's how I can keep sharp, and know how game plays, so I can answer the questions

I guess i want to ask if you work 9-5 at your job, is maybe 7am-12am? I think that's a fair question :)

I have a friend who signed up same time as me. After a month he stopped playing, he told me the game was a con and rigged. He wasn't a bad player, but all he could see was the need to pump money into this site. He may have been put off by people of his own tier posting ridiculous scores.

TBF. The solution od pumping someone up to Master might stop the shenanigans. I would also look very closely into gifting, and who is gifting who on a consistent basis. There could be a few legends/TMs doing very nicely off these hack accounts.

    3. Sounds good, if you suspect someone, please let me know.

Sometimes WGT listens, sometimes not, sometimes the suggestions are impractical. But to say that most member are only interested in how any changes affects them is wide of the mark.

We ask for more consultation on the development of this game. It's when WGT doesn't consult it's membership that it causes problems for itself. Some examples:

The huge tier change last year, BANG out of the blue, what discord did that cause. No consultation.

The change of payouts in RGs. No consultation. And you dug your heels in on that one. You came on here and told people to suck it up because it wasn't changing back. That nearly lost you a lot of members, until you saw sense.

The Tru Golf tie up. What the hell is that? You have two premium courses coming on line. I know people pleaded for more courses and WGT were worried about losing out to TW, but come on. Again no consultation.

You would be surprised how many things I bring up and mention. Unfortunately some are either can't be done with limited resources or just not in the plan or put on the list for future consideration.

I am not the only one who reads these forums, so trust me we all know how our members feel and always trying to do our best to accommodate it. Many things have been introduced just based on player feed back, such as fringes, restart in unlimited stroke play, new pins coming for oakmont soon, and several other things.

I like tru golf courses, so do many other members. They are here top give you more options. If you don't want to play, don't. That's all. They do not delay the development of other courses, so are more of a side bonus.

It's 10pm friday, so next replies would be later, have a great evening.

here is a novel idea for the Pay to enter, Paid if you win tourney.

every single player hit from the exact same tee box - not fair, how so when you play in any tourney regardless of the sport do they make special conditions or does everybody get put in the same spot to start from.

to get around the well it is not equal if an "Am" has to play against a "Legend" due to level or tier / ok so break them off at Tier, Hack and AM have theirs and so on.

When you win a pay out tourney you automatically move up a Tier regardless.

I know I am new here - made my account then did nothing with it for a few months, but have been playing regularly for about 3 months. Non-stop the last 28 days at least that is what the days played showed.

My point is if you want to play , then play, if it is something other then to play why have it so there is a loop hole. If you can shoot an 80 or 70 or even low 60 let it be the tier regardless of level. First time I posted a 72 I went Tour Pro but I shoot more 78 to 80 then anything else, my point is if you want to run with the "BIG DOGS" that can shoot 58 to 64 you better get ready to "HIT LIKE THEM - OUT OF THE BACK TEE BOX" other wise stay on the porch til you can.

But , BUT / it is not faa-iiiiiirrrrrrrrr - yes it is go practice, go play, level up get better, get game "the same as they did" before long you to can be Hitting it out of the BIG BOY TEE BOX and scoring birdies just like they do.

Every course has 4 sets of tees, senior tee front, ladies tee next back, mens tee next back, pro tee - the box in the back / tourneys are played from the back tees unless stated otherwise. Could play all pay out tourneys the same way all Par 3's the back tee, all Par 5's the front tee, switch the Par 4's to one of the middle tees Tier has nothing to do with it because it is a Tourney best man wins. Just because that player can hit 340 yards out of the tee does not make him win every tourney just look at John Daly.

just my 5 cents - let all tourneys hit from the same tee box, default them to the same type and style of ball, Srixon or Callaway just for the tourney, takes out the well look they have the high level distance ball I can't afford. Give them all the exact same ball let them get after it the better golfer that day will win next week it will be somebody else.

How about 2 more moderators? One say in Europe and one in Aus. That way there would be more chances of one being online when needed and they would have more time to spot these abnormalities.  ( Icon does a good job despite his spelling)
