Yeah I meant the ding line.  It should be bigger when putting because that's realistic.  The swing is slower, therefore your target, as far as aim, on contact with the ball is larger, and should be so in the game.  I average less putts in real life!

If they would fix the putting I would play this game endlessly, but alas I am stuck in the land of 30 putts per 18 holes.

Anyone have any issues with the putting distance switching from feet to yards unexpectedly? I was playing the front nine at St Andrews today, having a good round at -4 playing #7 or #8 can't recall. I was on the fringe about 30 feet from the hole and while trying to switch the putting meter from 45 to 30 feet, it switched to yards. I hit it about 95% and the ball zipped by about 55 feet from the hole, I ended up 4 putting. Anyone expereince this before?

you probably were at a downhill putt at a very fast green, the speed control at St. Andrews is a little bit diffenrent than Bethpage Black or Kiawah Island, i think it is slower than both of these courses, about it changed to yards, never happened to me before, maybe you switch clubs?

Yes I have had it happen more than it should. Always on the fringe. Check the flag stick marker and it should read in feet. What I do is hit a flop shot from fringe using the flag stick reading as a guide. Just remember to aim left for the flop.

P.S. if the flag is not in ft. then the  old basic math comes into play :)

Ive noticed when on the fringe and you switch from the provided wedge and decide to putt, that the yardage stays the same. The wedges are in yards and putters are in feet. Theres 3 feet to a yard so just do the math. I found out the hard way and lost a newly purchased ball...it was cookin over the green and then gone.
