First game is in the books my friends. And what a hard fought brilliant match it was!! TONNOIN decided to play full 18 holes to make it a real battle and started out avoiding the greens ;-P He though was able to chip in at #2 and save the other pars to just get out of the house 1 down after 5 holes. After burning the edge for eagle at 6 he played a stunning birdie at #7 despite some serious tailwind and took the match to a/s.
At #10 he gets the well-known "no-spin-bug" and gets send behind the hill. He wasnt able to save birdie it with his ~30footer, 1 up for me, pure luck there. He took it directly back copying my 9ft miss for birdie just a little better at 11 to be back at a/s. Number 12 is tied with easy birdies, i was a little angry that my ball landed behind the hole, hopped before and ended behind without dropping... lol
Now the game begins... lol... he just gets another "no-spin-bug" sending him once more way behind the hill, but this time he drains his incredible 35 foot putt right down the middle to halve the hole!! Incredible coolness there. Shocked me that much that I failed at clearing the hill totally at #14 and missing my 13 foot putt to let him get 1 up with a tap-in birdie. 15 tied with par, tailwind, difficult putts. From #16 on the nerves settled in on his side... scratchy pitch shot to 9 ft and burning the edge giving me an easy chance of getting back to a/s. He misses birdie at #17 again from ~7 ft for birdie handing the lead over to me. Not over yet though lol... he birdies the last with a great great birdie putt from ~20 ft. Could burn mine in though too to just stay ahead.
This was an outrageous match, had a lot of fun and pleasure playing with TONNOINCANNA, great guy. Back9 Scorecard below:
