  Just had a smashing game with CS, Plenty of fun and a lot of lip outs from CS very unlucky but also some great play.

                       It was one of those games that could have gone either way or ended In a draw.

  Séb took an early 2 Pt lead (Great Eagle by Séb on #2) & it took me to the 5th hole to get within 1 Pt of him & then Séb regained his 2 Pt lead on the 7th but then i did something i don't do very often, I birdied 8 & 9 together to level up The F9.

  I then managed to birdie the 10th also to edge ahead by 1 Pt, The next four holes were shared & the highlight was Séb sticking it to 1.2 Ft on # 13 & then Séb birdied 15 after he hit another pearler to 3.6 Ft to level it up again on Pt's, We both parred 16.                      I managed to get my Tee shot close (2.8 Ft) on the Par 3 17th & in so doing birdie it for a 1 Pt lead going to The 18th.

   

  We'd that dreaded left to right wind on our approached to 18 & both of us got on but we weren't close, Séb's Eagle putt from 27 Ft looked destined for the hole a few feet out but just tailed off at the very end & I was then able to lag my 23 Footer up & two putt so a bird apiece on the last for a 1 Pt difference

  Hightower3 wins 47 to 40

  Was a well played match for both players but my opponent never got his putter going.  Despite that he was a true class act.

  A couple of early lip-outs and I knew it was over.  Chris just continually put his approaches in the proper position and close.  He claimed it was luck - but I called BS on him lol.  His only mistake happened on 18 - when he put his approach in the bunker - and had to settle for birdie.  It was an enjoyable round and nice to watch his play.  Chris is a class act - as a player and as a person.

  Group 2 Round 3: Fairway Fanatics vs Las Vegas Knights

  Tie #3: #273 goerg1an (FF) vs #466 Wutpa (LVK)

  A great fun match with Gina, who didn't have the best of it on the greens but who didn't put a foot (or a ball) wrong from the tee, and her approaches were right on the money too.

  I had a 3 point lead at the turn but I couldn't press home my advantage on the B9 while Gina found another gear. 

  Consequently we finished level on 46 points each after a scorching eagle on the last from Gina. I deduct 2 points though, meaning the net score was 46-44 to Gina and the Fairway Fanatics.

  Thanks for the match Gina, and thanks for playing it at 4 am your time! Well played indeed.
