The thing with RG's is since the equipment has gotten better, the scores have gotten lower,62 is a good rd,however it will rarely make the top 8 now on almost all the courses.B0gey does have a point, pick and choose your battles when it comes to which RG's you enter..WGT already altered the pay structure to help pay out the lower places with more cr's.Heck I've see a score of 104 make .50 back in an Oakmont RG,bet that guy was stoked on getting .50 back.

    62 is a good score.....or is it?

With the new equipment any 18 hole RG in low winds, irrespective of the course, is getting murdered by the best players. I say irrespective but I suppose Congressional and RSG are putting up a fight for the time being. St Andrews's blushes are only saved when played in heavy winds.

I'm not saying every good player is shooting the lights out every time they play a low winds RG, what you will have though is a set percentage of those players scoring around the 60 or below. The bar has been raised and what was a good score prior to the Burners being released, isn't necessarily a good one now.

A while back I shot a 60 round Bethpage and didn't make the top ten, unheard of previously. Not having a go at the OP, it's just the way it is right now :^)

I have been wondering for awhile were the game was going. We seem to be getting top heavy with good players with the best equipment. It seems like WGT has boxed themselves in. I know that if you don't think you have a chance to win a 9 hole RG with with say a 29 or 30 then you are going to quit playing them. I like playing them because of the competition but if I think I can't win once in awhile I'm not going to keep donating, hence most of my interest in the game is gone and maybe I'm gone to.

The thing that i dont undertsand about ready goes is that once u have entered why cant they show u a leadeboard, so u know what score u have  to shoot.

There are other ways of getting free credits. If you know what kinda person the surveys accept, you can be earning enough for balls every day without the credits.

    b0geybuster:

Well to be honest yes scores have gotten lower, but with that said, you need to know what score is good for profit, and not limit yourself to 1-2 RGs per day, IMO , this can be lethal to the credit bank. For most the law of averages is the way to go, play 5 or more, and let the averages work themselves out.

I agree 100% with what b0gey has said here. The top players play lots of RG's a day. They might lost 20 credits each on 4 RG's then shoot a 29 in the 5th and make 200 credits extra. That's +120 credits for a single day.

However, tiered RG's can work too. I played a Master RG in which I shot a 28 and I won by a whole 3 strokes. Tiered RG's are the way forward to making credits, along with free tournaments.

They do show you a leaderboard but only after the ready go is filled. Once 50 have entered you can go to the tournaments section, click on closed ready go tournaments and then select the particular one you have entered. There you will see any completed scores and know how many have yet to play.

62 for me is a great score, but for the R/g's getting back 50cr's is the norm for that score. I pick and choose now.. I don't play any 18 holers, because to get any good credits back I need to shoot in the 50's, which I can't do (working on it though...lol) . I only play the 9 hole R/Go's now, mainly 3 courses and have been doing ok in them.

    Cheers
