Well, a friend gifted me some Callaways so I tried them out. Normally I only drive 270 yards, yet with the Callaways I drove it around 290+ every time! I nearly fell asleep waiting for the green bar to reach the ding with my Rapture 3wood. The cost of $1 a ball is totally worth it!

i agree totally SGT....I'm fairly accurate with the meter, had so many years experience playing golf games that the timing is almost 2nd nature to me know...but with these Callaways I feel totally in control of everything.  Not quite got to the fastest meter yet but so far so good.

Tony... I'm starting to worry about you on Legend tees. You're nearly there without even unlocking the L80 R9.

I'm there with the L62 R9.  The L80 is unlocked, but I can't see spending the credits for a new driver that I am going to waste can at L88.

It not only outperforms the earlier R9 by much more than 5 yards, it hangs with the R11, better in certain winds.

p.s., Dude, you are driven! 3 months to Legend!!  (Heh-I remember your first posts about the experience here and the basic who-the-f-cares responses.)  LOL.  WTG.   :-)

No. It's not Icon. I stopped using my Callaways about a month and half ago. I have been using 3 different balls mainly in an effort to improve my over all game. (Putting is still a nightmare for me at times). I have been using the Tour-SD ball the E-S ball and the Bx-D ball. I will still use the Callaways for the special tourneys but only for those. And they save me a lot of credits. I can almost get 4 sleeves of the SD balls for what 1 sleeve of the Callaway s ball costs. And I can get 25 sleeves of the E-S or Bx-D for that same 250 credits. And the biggest plus is that playing from the legend tees with the lesser balls is making me learn to manage the courses better. I still have a long way to go to be as good as I would like to be but playing with these lesser balls is helping me get there. Now if I could just learn to putt better.

I used to think the same way when using the Tour-SDs. The cost difference turns out to be minimal because of the difference in durability with the cheapest Callaway ball.
