    Dust in the mouse wheelhouse can trigger it! The mouse wheel is based on a circle frame with holes and an infrared LED shining thru the holes.

    With dust in the wheelhouse you get a firm ground for Murphy's Law to happen. Clean your mouse (have to open it) every 6 months!

    P.S. Beware the clip/spring in the wheelhouse can be tricky to remount :)

    I know your'e being helpful, but my mouse is a week old, understand if i was using a old mouse, but a new one should be dust free

    ive never encountered these issues that you guys are talking about, sure the meter jumps from time to time that has cost me alot of strokes and credits, but i look forward for these things to happen to me too, might be a laugh, after a slam my mouse in the wall :)
