Only update we need right now is more pins placements....especially on Kaiwah and Oakmont.  Legends really don't need better equipment, if that happens then the game will become a joke

How so? To the contrary, there needs to be more separation between Legends and lower tiers. With the level system now, Masters and Tour Masters are using the same clubs as the Legends. The only advantage, and it isn't much, are the Legend balls. But then that is offset by the huge disparity from the tee box. Ends up being a disadvantage.

In some ways, the game already is a joke, because of this. As has been mentioned too many times to count, cut off the ability of lower tiers to buy premium equipment, or yes, make better equipment for Legends only to even things out.

I play mainly ready go tournaments, usually you'll need a 29 or lower to win.  Now imagine us legends with better equipment, 25 or 26 will become common for the good legends.   WGT's mistake was making most of the advance equipment (R11's; Callaway Balls, Burner 2.0 irons) available to everyone based on level instead of tier.  Now there is basically no incentive for anyone to move up to a higher tier, they can just level up and get the same equipment and enjoy the Tee advantage.  To in an attempt to keep some of the legends that  have been complaining about sandbagging happy they will introduce better equipment that in my opinion is not necessary.

    I agree with Ironking.

If you have done your time and you are a competent to good legend, then you should be good enough to accept the challenge of tour masters and master on closer tees.

Okay, some TMs and Masters may avoid tiering up by playing few stroke games and that gives them an advantage in credit MPs and tournaments. But, average legends shouldn't be playing TMs in credit MPs, unless they are willing to accept a possible loss.

For example: I have a small Country Club. At the moment I am running an easy STA 18 and offering balls as prizes. Now, if I win I keep my credits as I don't have to pay out a prize. Two of my regular players are both TMs and they are first and second with 61 posted. I am 3rd with 63. I have two days to post a good back 9 61 or better it with a 60.

I like that challenge. One of the TMs as an average of 61.45. A few more CC 9 tournaments and he will move up. The other doesn't play so often.

Am I better than them overall? Probably. My litmus test is that I add in a weekly CTTH, also for ball prizes. I, much more often than not, win those.

WGT will provide extra equipment. With so many players now legends who own all the best equipment, they need to squeeze a bit of cash out of them. The balance is providing game improvement equipment that offers more shot options to regular players, but doesn't make the game too easy. i.e. shots still need to be hit correctly taking into account all the factors. I would like to see a cheaper set of balls that have higher feel ratings. Say 120/130 credits a sleeve with 3 feel points, 1/2 distance/spin points.

I suspect many legends are not so fussed anymore about what a TM or Master can do. For me, its all about what I can do. And I have no worries about playing against any tier. I go into those games for fun, and wouldn't play a long term TM for credits anyway.

I grew up in the UK when it was still great and smashing. I remember one week a young man who shared a small flat on the 8th floor of a council estate, won a Grand piano...lol smashing great send my regards to Chile. Also I went to Arica for the total solar eclipse in 1994 ish, i ended up pitching my tent on the mountain next to Annie Nightingale. Everyone was on acid including Annie....i tried to shag her but she wasn't having any of it..freaky great and smashing..lol

Totally agree,  WGT needs to be wary on the equipment they introduce.  There are so many things that WGT can do to make this game challenging without sacrificing playability.

    1. Introduce side hill, up and down hill lies.  Let the player use his / her judgement in executing the shot.
    2. Increase the green resolution two fold making putts challenging and fair at the same time.
    3. Obviously pin locations and the ability to move the pin within a 1 square meter will challenge everyone.

Improving the meter to improve playability will greatly silence the masses.

Let me know if I'm wrong here but by introducing a skins format would still mean that players in certain locations around the world wouldn't be able to compete because of the gaming factor.

Hope I said that right, still early in the morning.

Exactly the situation I'm in. Living in Florida, I can't play for credits. Accordingly, I've let my CC slip into neglect as I can't setup tourneys worth a damn without the ability to have a credit payout. Can't play challenge matches or RG's either.
