    Crashn2u:

Two things that need to be corrected ASAP.

    1. We need to know the speed of the greens before you tee off. Knowing the speed of the greens greatly influences club selection.

    2. There needs to be a way to select players from you own level to play against. I'm a champion and I have been subjected to lower level players anger. They think I'm cherry picking and they become upset with me. It's not a good way to build community cohesiveness.

    Here’s my two cents...

    1. In the coin room at the top of the page, there is a ‘Division Progress’ bar starting at trial thru’ bronze, silver, gold, platinum and diamond each having 3 divisions. I’m at platinum div III atm having been through all the rest.

I think that is supposed to put you up against people in the same division as you and that would presumably make you pretty equal. I’ve noticed the players getting better as I’ve risen (only been playing 56 days).

However as there are only so many players at one time, occasionally you get worse players and even rarely I get Legends and above with a couple of Champions too (I’m a Master). But I guess there can’t possibly be players available in your division ready to match up against EVERYTIME in each room ie Beverly Hills usually 3-400 players.

    2. Knowing the green speeds before you start and not when you first putt is an easy fix and quite scandalous that they don’t. Shots into the green it affects yes, but that can be usually controlled with spin and only long shots are affected much.

It’s if yo are just off the green chipping, the difference between slow and tournement can be 20 feet easily so you can only guess the speed and hit it perfectly and you’ll still have 10 feet left.

I automatically go with Champions Speed if I don't already know the green speed.

As a Master, you should count on Very Fast Greens until your first putt.

I will copy it in the other forum, but there is too much clutter over there.

Just started last 3 days, so here are my initial thoughts/issues as an 8+ year veteran on the Flash game compared to PCEA, not necessarily in most important order:

    1.  No ability to zoom in on the 5 yard square to aim the shot.  It makes a difference 200 yds outs for those of us without laser eyes,

    2.  On certain approach shots, I get an odd looking square where the yardage/feet differential is different than other holes.  That is unacceptable.

    3.  I can't on pitches/chips around the green see the vertical slope of the green.  (??  It makes a difference one a 10 yd pitch if green is uphill or away from me.

    4.  The weather vane is way too short compared to Flash.  Lengthen it for those of us who don't have laser eyes.  (See pt. 1, but the problem is bigger with the inability to zoom (#1)

    5.  Make the color on feet/inch marker for putts more opaque so we can see the putt.  (It was a problem on Flash, but we could work around it.  It is a huge problem with the reverse view on putts so close to the bottom of the screen.  So change the background color to make it more opaque which should be easy, or move the hole a yard up on the screen.)

I have issues with placement of info, longer meter, and a few other issues, but I am willing to accept those as game changes I need to adjust to.

The graphics are overall better, but I am worried more about my shooting ... not how I look.

    Tom (jacktrade51).

So far every time (twice) I get a bogus hit on a tap in of 0.2 or 0.3 inches.

I have a tap in of 0.2 or 0.3 inches for a par. Just on habit I switch to reverse view on the putt ( I do this on all putts) then go to hit the putt by pressing the button on my mouse and hold it down while I move my mouse back to select the power. But nothing happens, no putter movement or power bar movement. WTF, so I release the mouse, still nothing happens that I notice. And then I try again to hit the putt and it works like it should however it says I got a bogey instead of a par.

I've only play 2 complete 9 holes rounds, but this has happen once each of my rounds. And only on the 2 putts that were 0.2 and 0.3 inches long. No issues with longer putts.

Known problem or what am I doing wrong?

Just to re-emphasize this point ...

For those of us who use the close-in view to aim approach shots, we have been trained (for me 8+ years), that square is 15x15 feet, each block is 2x2 feet.

I was playing PB just now, I am getting all new squares on 1/2 the holes.  What is up with that?  What idiot came up with that?

It needs to be an immediate fix.

A second problem as a frequent AS player.  I am getting invites while playing even though I am busy/hidden.  How does that happen?  The whole point of going red/gray is to not get invitations.

    Tom.

PS.  I quit the game I got so frustrated.

After a couple of days, I solved 1 issue but the problem remains.

We never got a block on regular shots.  Now we do.  That was the difference.

I still need to get a close up shot on pitch views.

And, btw, I think 45 second clock on coin tournaments is idiotic.  I am trying to play good games, not a pinball game.

    ScottHope:

Is there an icon on your desktop?  Or just shout at Cortana, lol.

There is a guy in my club who has tried to download the launcher quite a number of times.  He thinks it has downloaded, but he never gets a desktop icon, so can’t launch.  What should I tell him to do, please?

    (For Windows)

You won't get an icon on your desktop until you have run the WGTLauncher.msi file in your Downloads folder. Tell him to look there and double click the aforementioned file. ; )
