I'm absolutely SICK of my G10 PW not being able to hold a damn green with anything over a 12+ or so tail or side wind. It just won't stop and I have to play for runout.

So I rented the CG level 74+ 52 Degree 115 yrd wedge and started doing some practice. I'm seriously thinking about dropping the R11 hybrid (love that club) and replacing it with this wedge. I just wish the new clubs would come first so I can figure out wth I'm going to do.

This wedge is amazing. I can choke it down to a very very consistent 83 yards with avatar movement and bs. The most backspin I've gotten so far is only 4 yrds at full shot. So that should be way more controllable than the CG 60°.

Check out this shot on the front pin placement of #2 STA. I could NEVER get close to this hole with this wind and yardage unless I hit the perfect G10 PW. So I was usually 20+ feet away. I haven't played #3 yet. I hope I have a strong tail wind so I can test the stopping power from 100 yrds + there too.

It lands on the DOWNSLOPE lol

Here's the result on STA #3 right after I posted the above lol. Oh yeah I love this Wedge. This is full bs 3 avatar movements down.

One of the best shots I have seen on wgt.

You just sold me on that wedge. The next time I buy some more credits I am getting rid of my 3 hybrid and adding a long distance cleveland wedge to my bag.

Dar,  just watched the replays... really nice shots.  Question though.  You talk about 3 avatar movements down, what, exactly, are you referring to?  I am pretty good (if I do say so myself) with figuring out how much, if any, backspin I need, but I am always looking for additional advice.  BTW, I have the 56 and 60 Clevelands (lvl 74+ and the lvl 31+ 64 and I love them.  I also have the G10 iron set which I really like, and because the distance on the 52 Cleveland is the same as the G10 PW, I have not bought that one (yet).  If WGT would let us customize our bags a little more so I could lose the G10 PW, I would buy it in a heartbeat and carry Drvr, 3W (or 3H), the 52, 56, and 60 Clevelands and my trusty 64  (I love that club... know exactly how it plays around the green... have many, many, many birdie or better flopshot/chip-ins with it). Okay, I'm rambling, sorry.

If you start your backswing with full shot then slide the meter down while still holding the mouse button the avatars backswing will move in increments. I have each of my wedges mapped out to know exactly how far each one will hit with full shot, one movement down, two movements down etc....with full backspin and no backspin.

For instance I know my CG 60° will go 59 yrds 4 movements down from full with no backspin. And I know my TM Satin 64° will go 36 yrds 3 movements down with full backspin.

So starting with my (piece of crap) G10 PW I'm good with anything from about 120 down to 6 yrds and everything in between with those 3 wedges.

Icon and Yankee Jim will disagree will tell you how you shouldn't choke wedges because they are not accurate in yardage when you don't use close to full power shots. I've never had a problem being accurate with them this way.

The best thing about the Clevo wedges is you dont need Callaway balls anymore - Srixons are fine. :)

Can't talk for Icon but I never said that. Choking increases the deviation if you miss and until the CGs was inconsistent but I also posted, right after they came out,  about how these CG wedges are the first ones I've seen here that have a linear relationship with the moves. They are very chokeable and consistent. The 80w is exactly 5 yards per move and the 100W is 5 5 7 8.

They also change the rules about partial swings with chips and pitches.  ;-)
