The first swing is for 14 feet on the 15 foot scale. The second swing is for the same distance on the 50 foot scale. Which one would you think is easier to ding and which one do you think is more susceptible to a meter stumble?  Avatar moves take the meter speed out of play.  ;-)

...sorry YankeeJim, in advance for the stupid question but, it seems like the top one is the easier one to me no???...why would you even use a 50 meter for such a putt anyway???

    just a joke from Frisco.

    Please, don't call it Frisco.

I always call it "Frisco" because I know it is offending to the local scum.

The only stupid question is the one you don't ask, Tee.  ;-)

The top swing has a very long backswing and you have to wait and time your ding. This brings jumpy finger and meter issues into the mix.

When you use the avatar move way of putting you give yourself an exact way to gauge distance. Keeping the back swing short doesn't give the meter time to speed up like people are complaining about and makes it easier to ding because it moves so slow.

The first swing is an estimate based on your experience, Putter pal, tape on the screen or whatever. The second swing is exact and the same every time making it very easy to learn how far the putt will go once you learn the scales. In my case above I use the 50 foot scale for putts 12-16 feet. Try it, you'll be surprised how smooth and true the ball rolls. Heh, I use the 300 foot scale for 40 foot putts-it's almost the same swing as the one for the 15 footer, just on a different scale.

Nivlac's Putting Tips under the FAQs goes into greater detail and this method isn't for everybody. I've just been doing it for over 2 years.

I always use the 25 foot scale, it goes up in 10, 20 & 25 feet.  For a 14 foot putt, i will go a touch over the first avater movement (10 feet), and if i have 11 foot putt, i will go  a few pixels under.  I rarely use the 15 foot scale (except for putts under 7 foot), and Yankee J is right, the 50 foot scale is handy as it goes up in 10's and is easier to hit ding, say for a 24 foot putt, than going right up the 25 foot scale.

I at first hated the scale, but after a few days, find it better than Redwood & Rossa's scales.

Thinking about getting the L92..not sure yet, the price is a bit rich for my liking.

Just thinking, if you do get to L92 or already there, you probably spent a bit of money getting there, but saying that,   After L88 there was nothing else for us (in the Proshop), it's good that WGT has got a new product in a higher level that everybody can go for. If it's good or bad, it's something at least.

    Cheers

It's a little better than the Daytona in every way possible.  But really?  "Looks AWESOME?"

It's the ugliest piece of equipment in the WGT shop.

You must be of of them dudes who think Ian Poulter's outfits look cool lol.

I looked at the original Spider in our local pro shop. I don't think I could use it in real life. it's so ugly that the look of the head would distract me. And the sticker price was a big shock. Over $200 for that thing???

I was so waiting for level 55 was at lvl 54 yesterday knew i was hitting 55. All I could think about is yes getting the Daytona. Then they had these new putters come out. I was torn as my heart had been set on the daytona but looked at the specs of the 36 SPider and 55 Daytona. The daytona has a bit more presision but less forgiveness then the spider. SIcne I was so used to the spider I figured the level 36 would be a natural progression as ther was no way I waiting to upgrade my putter till lvl 66. Well played some round and just played like crap but had nothing to do with the putter it is more presise and I like it. Definatly a upgrade. Talking about ugly putters the Ghost in my opion is a ugly putter, looked at one the other day and just thought that is ugly lol.
