    Hi everyone,

I'm sorry to bring you this news with such short notice.

The WGT Elite Section will be closing permanently at 10pm pacific tonight coinciding with our scheduled downtime.

A regular downtime message will be coming shortly.

    Thanks,

    _CHAMPION

That's too bad. I won't continue playing the game under these circumstances, except for the eTour events. The Amazon gift cards were the only thing that kept me interested in the past couple of years. Thanks for the info anyway, Champ, all the best.

What are folk supposed to do with credits they win?

Does this mean gifting will go too?

I guess there was a mass credit sell off due to the self quarantining and WGT wasn’t prepared for the outlay.  I think there’s a small business loan/grant available to cover this. 😂

Bad financial decision from the Top, once again.

Are gifting and gambling going to end?

It does seem it.  Yes selling credits is against the rules and anyone found doing it will be banned if caught, but what about CC competitions?

Imagine if there was an owner that spent  $1,650 a month on tournaments. They'd get 165,000 credits from wgt and put them up as prizes, the best players would win them and eventually cash them in for $250.  What is the point in them spending the $1,650 on credits now?

    Downtime?

    Now?

    With everyone working from home?

    Please don't!   :-)

They've never made one single good decision since WGT was acquired by TG. Many top players will quit, that's for sure. Maybe that is what WGT wants... A new start with new players.
