Yesterday, I was having a really great CTTH round, when I decided to click the "leaderboard" link under the MENU button. I should have known better, because what happened has happened to me a few times in the past... the screen dimmed immediately after clicking the leaderboard link and froze.

After the screen "dimmed", all the "graphic overlays" like the  swing meter, the aiming tool, menu, wind direction, and small hole representation were gone, essentially making it impossible to continue the round. Some of you may have had this same problem and may have been forced to close out that round, possibly losing a good one. But next time it happens, try what I did...

Determined to not lose my round, I searched around the screen with the mouse pointer until I found a "clickable hand" that appeared. There are several. These appear even though there are no visible buttons or text.

In the lower-right area of the game window, I found one of the "hands" and clicked it.

VOILA! The screen brightened, and the graphic overlays returned! I was able to finish my round (which turned completely to disaster on the next hole, when I hit the ball into a bunker... lol!)

There are a couple other "hands" in that area... search around with your mouse's pointer, and click them until one works.

I submitted an "in game" bug report, so maybe the problem is being addressed. But if you experience this glitch, try the workaround. It works.

I wish I would've taken screen-shots... maybe it'll happen again, in which case I'll get some and will edit the thread.

    Good Luck. :^)

The hand is the "phantom close button" on the leaderboard that doesn't appear...

I've found that this happens every time when I click on the leaderboard link in the menu, BTW. :(

edit: ***The green wording in the image is "Hand Appears Here"

Hi PugsAce, thanks for the report. If this happens again, can you submit a bug to us by right-clicking and indicating the tournament (if applicable) and hole? Thanks

As far as I know, this bug has always happened on any hole, every tournament if you check the leaderboard using the game-screen menu while you are playing.  It's fine if you check the leaderboard before you tee off, but once you do tee off you can't check the leaderboard or the game will freeze similar to the screenshot above.  As I stated above, this has always been the case and error reports have been logged on this before.

I just tried it on the WK 47 CTTH and screen darken and everything froze.  Found phantom close button, as Pug described, and screen brightened and all went back to normal.

Thanks for the reply Alex. Already submitted a few reports (with the right-click) before posting this "workaround" for others. It happens every time I've ever tried it, and as others have posted about it, I suppose it's been a widespread problem for awhile.

I didn't indicate the tourney and hole when I submitted the "in-game report" because I thought that information was automatically recorded when submitting. Guess not?

I'll be sure to remember it next time. Thanks.

A man goes to the doctor and says, "Doctor, I have excruciating pain when I twist my arm like this. What should I do?" The doctor replies, "Don't twist your arm like that."
