    Kenher01:

Looks like she's out cos of a technicality
"Guernsey is not part of the UK"
    Google never wrong! ;)

Romeo: "The U.S. Open? The biggest golf tournament in the world?"
Roy: "Not just the biggest golf tournament in the world, the most
    democratic."
    Romeo: "What do you mean?"
    Roy: "I mean it's open."
    Romeo: "So?"
Roy: "Anyone with a handicap or better's got a shot at it. You just
gotta get past a local and a sectional qualifier, and unlike
Doral or Colonial or the A.T.& T., they can't keep you out.
    They can't ask you if you're a garbageman or a bean-picker
or a driving range pro whose check is signed by a stripper.
    You qualify, you're in.

The USGA Virtual Open continues in this multi-round competition to determine the final 10 prize-eligible players. The top 156 scores (plus ties) from the qualifier will compete in four 18-hole single-play stroke play rounds under challenging conditions on Congressional, Merion, Chambers Bay and Pebble Beach. The top 10 leaderboard scores from prize-eligible players after the four rounds will advance to the live streamed finale competing for the Championship title

Prob would make it easier if non-eligible players couldn't enter/play but then they would be missing out on 2000 creds which they can get if they finish in Top 156

    True.

She not long changed it Ken. Trying to get one as close to St George's flag that wouldn't just be blank on leaderboards.

But all her documents are there with WGT. Looking at a flag is their check.

Participation in the Contest is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older.  Note, however, that only individuals who are legal residents of and physically located in the fifty United States and the District of Columbia, Canada (excluding Quebec), the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Norway, Ireland, The Netherlands, and South Korea who are 18 years of age or older or the age of majority in the entrant's state or province/territory ("province") of residence, whichever is greater are eligible to win prizes.

So residing on an island in the southern hemisphere qualifies oneself?

shame indeed, especially if it was all verified, but maybe the “chap” who lives as mentioned isn’t eligible for the prize, but that’ll probably be overlooked too.
