  Hmmn, I used that driver (250yd G10) until TM level and don't recall anything like that happening. Seems like it acted as a Starter Driver.

  Have you cleared your Caches lately? Both Adobe and Browser.

  which hole  / course is this?

   

  I hope you didn't put top spin on that drive thinking it would make you hit the ball farther.

  I can perfectly see a 250 yard driver only carrying 215 with top spin or even no spin on some particular holes.
