What to buy???

  I am a fairly regular player, L49, pro - 72.65, but am still using the original clubs and balls supplied, with the exception of an extra driver and putter (still wgt starter clubs, iirc)

  I currently have 609 credits

  Wthout spending a lot, what should i get to improve my game?

  3 satin wedges and a few balls.

  I vote a wedge or two.  and with the starter irons you will probably be alright with just the 64 degree to start.  the 60 would be your next option, which will give you approximately 90 80 60 and the option to fill a 70 or 50.  If I were you I would drop the 50 because the 60 yard wedge will most likely be the lowest wedge you'll have when moving forward. for the reason it would be beneficial to learn to play with it for all the yardages it will have to cover.

  Did you just change this? Those are far from starter clubs in your bag. All that's left to get are the wedges everybody suggests (+1) and a putter.

  Well, I have taken the plunge, purchased some credits and got myself a set of Ping Rapture V2 clubs and a TaylorMade putter.

  I really want the R11 driver.  280+ yards would get me some nice scores, I'd think.

  yes, me too!  for the same reason.  now at level 87 only 10,000 more points to go plus the $, and then i'll make ledgend in about 2 more years,  (maybe ?).  good luck.
