Tough day for me at Merion for WK8 18 Hole Single Play.

4 over on the front, but then I managed to start the back with back to back birdies and thought I might be able to save my round.  Not to be as I managed another stretch of bogeys and double bogeys to finish the back 3 over.  One of my two double bogeys was reminiscent of Lashley’s hole number 16 yesterday (although I had a lot less on the line), but a 4 putt from 13 feet none the less. Ugh

7 over 77 - so glad to be done with that round

63 for me and again, a few lip outs but alas, I'm still here for the root beer!

If you're into a good root beer, this is 1 of the best I've had!

63 today for me at Merion.

I experienced the worst "glitch" I've ever seen or even heard about on the 9th.  I managed to hit my 235 yard 3 wood 307 yards into a 6 mph headwind with full bs  My immediate thought was "did i just hit my driver by mistake?" but it only goes 277.  It was like the game then tried to compensate me as I up and downed from 68 yards out of 50% rough.

The laugh was almost the exact same shot on 17 - 3 wood into a headwind - to 1 yard.  It does work afterall.

Highlight was rolling in a 15 foot birdie on 5 with just over 3 grids of break.

Smooth 77 on that dump they call Merion. Tripled 5 and 14. Doubled 17. Otherwise played great.

That was hard to watch. I no longer remember the player or which tournament it was, but I watched someone 4 putt from about 2' once. After missing the first putt, he reached across the hole and slapped the ball back towards the hole missing again. Then he quickly did the exact same thing before finally lining up the 4th putt and making it. If I remember right, his anger cost him the tournament by 1 or 2 strokes. The name will come to me as soon as I hit "post" lol

64 for me this week at Merion. Probably the worst round I have played in the last 3 years.

Leaderboard was just updated on page 1

My round was extremely disappointing to me. I love Merion, and feel I know how to play it well. Seeing the scores coming in, I thought this would be my chance to make my move, I just didn't know the move would be down not up. 😂

I posted a 60 in a round where nothing seemed to go my way.

Nothing went my way either. Hit the dings and missed the putts. 66. What a shame on such a calm day.

    Missed a few putts....made a few putts.

No bogeys!! Happy to have escaped with that score.
