18 holes per expensive ball?

  Hello,

  I bought a 3 pack of Callaway Tour i(s) balls today. Played 4 rounds of 9 hole Blitz and I'm using my last ball now.

  That's 18 holes per ball. Non lost, just worn out. 

  Is that what I can expect per ball? If so, I had better learn to play the unlimited ones much better.

  That certainly isn't the norm.. you should still be on your first ball for sure if you didn't lose any.

  Wow.....that's really outta whack.   Especially being that blitz is only one shot per hole.  4 blitz games is only 36 shots,  18 shots per ball not holes.  wow......  

  Either huge bug or you forgot about some double recovery bonuses.

  You should get about 2 18 hole rounds per ball.  Since putts don't count as a stroke, 2 blitz games should be similar to a 9 hole stroke play round.  In alt shot you generally only hit 9 shots per 9 holes so it should eat balls similar to blitz.

  Somewhere I have seen a thread that details the wear of balls.  If you search it you should find out the expected ball life but what you said you experienced seems a lot less than normal.

  I think your missing somthing here as well. I am using the same balls you are talking about. My last ball I used lasted me 3-AS games & approx. 4-9 hole games. I dont pay attention that much but I for sure got that out of the one ball for sure probably a bit more. I can tell you when you spend more on balls and lose one to water, Thick stuff etc. it hurts the pocket alot more. I looked at you profile and you have 20+ in the water alone. I am sure you must have lost a few balls versus them just running out because 1 ball should have lasted you the Blitz games you are talking about and you should still have that ball if that is all you have done.

  No my point was that a game of alt shot was pretty much the same as BLITZ in that you hit 9 actual shots per 9 holes played.

  Thanks for your reply . You mentioned that I had lost 20+ balls in the water. I looked for that info but couldn't locate it. Where did you find it?

  Nps, as for finding the information you click on your profile. Go to awards look for the award 'Water Boy" (Yours currently is Tin Water Boy) This keeps track of all balls lost in Water through out all game types. You are up to 27 Balls lost in the water as of this post & that is how I know how many balls you have lost in water. GL & HF!

  Same thing happens to me....but only when I play Edgewood Tahoe.

  Other CTTH courses are fine, but Edgewood Tahoe eats your balls faster than (fill in blank here)
