3-hole Elimination Tournament

  I'm in...Sounds like a good time.

  Just clarify...

  Setting: 3hole stroke play, lowest score after 3 holes wins. In case of a tie, player start another 3hole stroke play as sudden death until the winner is decided. Course is choosen by players themselves as i wrote at rule 5, setting will vary from round to round and will be posted by me in this thread.

   

  Does this mean that if players are tied after 3 holes, another 3 hole match is played with sudden death starting on hole # 7, or does sudden death begin on hole # 4?  That is to say is it sudden death on the first extra hole after the first 3 hole match, or the first extra hole after the second 3 hole match? 

  Also im assuming in the case of a tie after 3 holes the players continue on the current course and do not change the course.

   

  Regardless of all those questions I'm still in.

  Players start another 3hole stroke play as sudden death, so the fourth hole is already the first sudden death hole.

  Course remains the same here indeed =)

  Hey Hans...question just so i/we know...Can you choose Cabo to? (you know..greenfee and all that)

  no because its against the rules of the competition as there is no possibility to play cabo in 3 holes stroke play practice mode.

  Ok, thats cool...But if we are playing in practice mode..then that means that we are all playing from the same tee??  

  I hate playing from lower tees then the black...cant seem to adjust..lol probably the brain that stops it!!  :-))

  Do you think its neccessary to set a standard tee and green speed?

  Or people may compain they can't reach holes from certain tee's etc.

  Every participating player is at least master. I will not choose legend tees at all to

  1) prevent exactly the thing you fear, unfair advantage for long hitters and

  2) make up for the disadvantage of having to use the same tees with an advantage of knowing the distances better for tourmasters/masters.

  Will host this tournament like this and see how it works. As I always do at my normal matchplay-trophys I will ask the community after this tournament if they see any aspects of it to be changed (and if they want me to rehost this at all).
