  A great nip and tuck match with a fine gentleman. Neither of us ever led by more than 1 hole.

  Had a great Match tonight with Kev (Harrysonandon), I had him right where I wanted him and then the Match started, Kev played a brilliant Round on Erin and it was a pleasure watching shoot so well!

  Everything seemed to be working for me and not so much for my antipodean opponent. I always wanted to use that word in a sentence. We had a good chat and Peter was gracious and polite as I prattled on while zooming on coffee. Thanks for the game Peter.

  Group 2 Round 5 Match 2

   

  Just had a great match with starrider2

   

  We were both playing pretty good, but I got 2 down by the 12th hole. Starrider had a very hot putter, dropping every putt even a couple from long range. I was able to get one back on 13, squared the match on 17. Starrider2's shot on 18th from the rough was a little long, I was able to make bird for the win.

  The first hole headwind was misjudged by me, but managed to halve that hole.  Both of us were hitting good approach shots for the most part.  I managed a few longer putts when I didn't get it close on the approach.  Fortunately, most of my approach shots were close enough to be conceded.  This led to an 8&6 win for Alphadite  :)  Always happy to represent well.

  pjbhai won 6 up with 5 to go.

  Dio is a really nice lad. He was really prompt in scheduling our match. The game was fairly close for the first few holes where he hit some good approach shots. Unfortunately for him, even though my iron play was cold, my putter turned out to be extremely hot making those 10 footers consistently. We did had language barrier (all hail Google translator) but the WGT lingo (np, vns, gg and bueno) certainly helped during our match. Good luck to Dio for all his future matches!
