callaghan159: I like to think I am above average in my job. If I want to learn other peoples job all I have to do is ask and I will get the training. It's called cross training. When someone needs help I will have some idea what needs to be done. Maybe WGT should try this process.
Even when feasible, cross training is not always necessarily desirable. Regardless, simply because I don't see the results I believe should be taking place, I'm not going to assume that a company doesn't already know what I know about these things. In fact, just the opposite. If I know it, I assume everyone knows it.
I'd bet a whole bunch of money that if any us were on the "inside" with WGT and involved in making decisions, the decisions we would make would be not too dissimilar to what is already being done. We might like to think we would do things different or better, but we have no idea what constraints are at work.
Either that, or it's simply unfortunate that all the experts always seem to be gainfully employed somewhere else. They never seem to be at the right company. 😉
