I have the R9s and love them, but there are definitely times when i would like a bit more carry into the green and the extra length on the upper irons couldn't hurt. All in all, I will probably stick with the R9s until they pry them from my cold dead hands.
If I had it to do over, I would probably have waited until I could get the G10 full set. For the money, seems like the best all around deal.
