    Hi

I've just played the wk 43-9 hole unlimited around Congressional. -3 coming to the last (one the greatest holes in world golf so always a treat) perfect drive down the right of the fairway. 8mph wind from the right so I am several feet to the right of the pin (more than I would normally due to slope to hole). I then ding the shot, perfect I think...nope it drags it left and one bounce in to the water.

Am I being cynical in thinking this is just a way to rid me of Callaway gold balls and therefore drive up the cost of my game?

I think a ding shot should go where you aim it and not be affected by any forgiveness/precision stats.

I don't think you are being cynical at all. If it makes you feel any better, it happens to all of us and it is extremely aggravating. WGT has an algorithm which causes your perfectly dinged shot to deviate off course sometimes with varying degrees of intensity. I think it is intended to simulate real world golf. I can see the pro's and con's to this idea but none of the logic can make you feel better when you have a great round going and WGT sticks one in your rear.

    Keep on Digging!

    Speedy :)

speed....LMAO!!!! - BUT, sooooooo true. Callaway gb's are awesome balls but a HUGE draw back is 1. Durability is terrible and 2. One nano gram off the mark and you can say GOOD BYE to your nice Callaway. You would think as bad as the durability with these balls WGT shouldn't have ANY deviations or the like with these gb's.

Come on WGT...lighten up with the Cally's. At least make them just a little more durable..Please. edge...

Again...thanks for the lol speed. twy soon

Thanks for your replies. I was only venting to feel a bit better but it's good to have some support. I also know that sometimes I make a terrible swing and the game keeps it in play so it has some real life feel about it. It just always seem to happen when it has a chance of taking a ball off you and they aren't cheap.

Guess I'll just have to keep practising.
