.I always...always.... offer to drop the first time anyone seems offended or concerned .....I play mostly alt shot since it was introduced...because I enjoy it....and it most certainly should count towards tier experience....just as match play should.
So, all that being siad...I'll play with anyone, or against anyone..from any tees...with any clubs...in any format.......win or lose...I just enjoy the game.
Seems like a great attitude Ducati and how I'd be also. If playing someone and they seem offended by your tees, offering to drop and ending on a friendly note is a great way to handle it.
I've said before, personally it doesn't matter what tiers an opponent is on. If hit a good shot, can stick a 190 club within a few feet of what could my 135 club. If hit a bad shot, its going to be a poor result no matter what the club. The biggest advantages another tier would have is on the driveable par 4's, but they still have to make that eagle putt which is easier said than done. I believe getting the tricky legend green speeds all the time is an advantage for me.
Look forward to challenge of playing with against you Ducati. If cool with we can do a best of 3 matches, for a sleeve of balls or just for fun. You pick first 9 holes, anywhere is fine even Kaiwah back which I think has the biggest disparity of all in yardage. My fav course is Bethpage, so lets play 1 round there also. You might beat me 5 and 4 and while I'll be doing my best to keep that from happening, if you do, it will still be a fun challenge.
