I expected it to be all over for me this week, but 5 birdies on the front 9 of Erin Hills gave me a chance, and that was with no birdie on the easy #2 either! The outcome was looking bleak after only one birdie in the first 3 holes on the back 9, but then 3 consecutive birdies gave me a fighting chance, needing 1 birdie in the last 3. It duly came on #17, then I managed to hold my nerve on #18 for another birdie for an 11-under total of 61.

Next week - Olympic... ha, there's a laugh!

David, Dodgy Chris and I went out and played Oakey last Friday... there was lots of toasting and drinking, smoking and then we all tried to figure out the creative math to make sure we moved on.....

Then David, being the smartest of the bunch (very very low bar so don't get excited) said "well we're really not even in it anymore so what we get doesn't matter" bwahahahaha

In that case, I think we finished with -77, so we all go through woo hooo (don't quote me on the maths, I will never admit/remember anything)

I played the wrong course, please remove the 57 I posted, it was for Oakmont. I didn't realize it was Erin. I have a lot of events going on, obviously too many lol.

Not sure what I was thinking. :(
