Competition Time
So, we all know that golf is secondary (third actually, but I’ll explain), in the Andyson, which is just as well, as I never signed up in the first place, and only play on a members invite, alternating between Dotty and Dodgy.
Given the golf comes second, what matters? Clearly having fun comes first, and scoring minus 77 comes second, it is the pre-requisite of a good round, but cannot be achieved without integrity..
With glasses full, and a doff of the cap to Dennis off we all set..
It was a round of two halves, F9 on the Monday and B9 on the Tuesday,,,, After all, you can only have so much fun in any one day..
So, to all you budding Carol Vorderman’s, how do we get to minus 77…
Study the cards,
Dotty got minus 5 and 1 bogey
Chris got minus 10 and 2 bogeys
I got minus 4 and 2 bogeys..
A total of minus 19, including 5 bogeys, however, if you ignore the bogeys, we scored 24 birdies..
24 birds, x 3 (3 of us playing) equals 72, but given we can’t ignore the bogeys, we’ll add those on, 72 plus 5…
And Hey Presto, once again, a minus 77…. Miraculous…
PS, we also played a little golf…
