I haven't weighed in on Cabo until now because I wanted to learn the course before judging it.  After about 100 rounds I can honestly WHAT A JOKE!

We can give WGT a pass regarding the awful green mapping on Kiawah because it was the first course they did.  Can't give the same latitude on Cabo because they have had extensive experience mapping other courses.  These guys had to have scored some crappy Mexican weed and a few black market Oxycontin before they headed out to work each day down there.

Course is quite easy from the forward tees when you can stick shots to 6 feet but quite a different tale when you have to sink 15 footers.  Couple that with the clockwork 3-4 meter skips a side leaving 25-30 footers (which are still quite make-able with proper read) and the course, and site, leaves you with a very sour taste in your mouth.

And now for the funniest part of the shamble that is Cabo....you have to pay to play it!  Gotta love this place.  Come to think of it, we probably have to pay for play on Cabo because they stayed so high down there we have to fund their habits.

Couldn't agree more Jake. I never liked the cartoon golf course from the beginning. I have tried to play it some to see if it would grow on me but to no avail. It simply is just garbage, i have no desire to play it and will not be playing it any more. It truely was a huge step backwards for WGT to put their name even close to this. They have done some very good things of late here, but this is a flop.....a really big one.

Simply can not figure this move out by WGT, it makes you wonder as you say "how much weed were they smoking"

    A real joke....

    LOL thats about right.

Cabo is bad enough in high winds and tourney greens, try stopping the ball on the postage stamp par 3's from 200 yards with a tailwind, or even the 5's with a tailwind on championship speed greens, I think they have read all the posts about random wind being unfair and this is their 'joke'

High winds, championship greens at Cabo, yes WGT I'm LMAO

Oh my goodness.... I had a go on the $20 Cabo... -11(after 17) and 2 shots on the 18th, cool, I was thinking 2 putts for par...WRONG.. 4 putts.. ball kept on rolling back to me feet...lol

Champ speed on that green is horrendous....hmmm

High Winds were pretty good, Champ speed was alright except for the 18th.

Just played the $20 cabo.  Jesus, you have whats indicated as flat you underhit putt, but ball rolls miles past and your left with 15 foot putt again.  This was on FLAT part of green, i know where all the awkward slopes are like #1, #6,#11 & #18, where you have 1 or 2 ins down slope on a 6 foot putt, you can hit it with 1 foot of power, and ball will roll past. These places i'm used to, but places that are flat, but ball travels as if its steep downslope, COME ON!"  Championship wasn't much different to tournament, the above happens on both green conditions. (but i did birdie 18th with long putt.lucky)

But the best thing about this course is if you're in 30/40% rough and are left with a 11 yard chip shot, no matter how much you under hit the chip shot or give FULL back spin, it seems to always run 15 yards.  There seems to be sly slopes which are not advertised on aim marker!

Another thing, when you play a $1 ready go and score 61, you double your money, anything more and you might come first or second or 3rd.  With a 61 on $20 ready go, YOU LOOSE MONEY!  Just lost $40 all in all with yesterdays play.  Stuff that when i went from 100 credits to 29,000 in 4 months, i can see me loosing them all if this continues .LOL

To much risk involved when you need a 60 just to break even (-12), especially at Cabo, as its one of those courses where you might score o.k or 3 putt on first hole and ruin round before even starting.

Yep I agree Chris - I've been stung by those putts in the 100RG - touch the ball four feet away, missed the hole (my fault though, I expected a break that went straight lol) and finished 15ft away, so god knows what its like on champ greens.

Seems a good idea the high roller RG's but like you say, even with a 'good' score you can still loose heavy money.
