In the November Fall Qualifier from the blue tees the hole is indicated as 279 yards when the pin is really 297 yards from the tee.

This replay  of my drive shows the true distance, 297

I'm fairly certain the hole yardage is measured from the tee to the centre of the green, not to the flagstick.  I run into the same scenario on St. Andy's on the driveable par 4's.

Always check the actual yardage to the flag...don't assume that the hole yardage is necessarily accurate.

    Hi

yes, yardage are never precise since it will always be a bit off. since we have different flag locations, you really have to adjust measurements with aim marker

Sure I can understand Par 4s and Par 5s being "a bit off".  On your par 3s all the yardages indicated are spot on the actual yardage indicated.  Hole 17 is a short uphill par 4 that plays as a long par 3, especially down wind.  18 yards is much more than "a bit off" in this case.

Couple that with the fact the hole info shows the black tees at 297 (the true distance to the pin)  and blues at 279 (the false distance to the pin)  TMs are not getting a break in distance from the blue tees.

Why is the distance from the black tees spot on for this par 4, and 18 yards off from "the blue tees"?  Or are the blue tees positioned incorrectly?

WGT's quality standards are lower than I imagined.

Anyway, beware the distance indicated on CC#17 for the blue tees everyone.  WGTs not interested in correcting it.

miJ, I am not dyslexic!!  It reads 279.  LOL

It might play 279 from the middle (older) pin position.

One thing I notice is score card yardages never change (via upper right reading on tee box) when pin positions change...which is the same as any RL course, score card stays the same, even with pins in different positions...except on par 3's (here on WGT).

Had there been any truth or merit in the initial dyslexia comment, then one might argue a case for Dyscalculia, although the lines are blurred ( no entendrepal pun intended) between the two as to arithmetical ability or simply an inability to correctly apportion numerative order. Strictly speaking however, neither would necessarily be correct without first having access to in depth knowledge or case study data, since having both or either would undoubtably have such accoutrement given the serious nature of each condition, notwithstanding the possibility of a simple misreading of available enriched media.

There wasn't, and there isn't. It reads 279.
