A lot of times lately, you calculate shot with the extra yardage's callaways give you, only for the yardage not to be there and you come up well short.

Usually my 175 iron is 182/185 yards with callaways, my last tee shot on par 3 gave my 171 yards in low side wind, when it usually will travel over 180 on this hole.

Is this just part of WGT deviation? some approaches the extra yardages disappear just to mess us about?

not sure chris..but if you miss ding it wont travel as far...

another thing about these callaways..maybe i'm tripping, but i'm pretty sure the life of my "balls" do not last as long as previously..noticed this last week or two!!

Yes - up to ten yards on some shots lost, I reckon now if it happens once a round thats a good result.  Example my 190 iron to a 183 yd shot into a 6mph cross/head wind, slight underclub, half bs I'd be expecting to be close, played it lots of times, came up 176yds, can't be the wrong club thats 175 so wouldn't (shouldn't) get to 176 with that setup - anyway I check club selection much more now this is happening

I have just had this happen to me and cost me 2 new cally vapor balls, I had 219 yds with a 12  mph tailwind on 17th at  kiawah aimed marker just to the left of pin hit 205 hs it would normally travel about 210ish nope it went 195 now how the hell does that work wgt are you just trying to mess with us to buy more and more balls well at this rate all you will do is drive potential players away.

Yep, thats exactly whats happening, I don't think its a ball issue, I think its something that came in at the last 'upgrade' and isn't working properly, I hadn't noticed it before that anyway

Reminds me of the shot i had on R.St.G par 5 on back 9 earlier.  16 mph tailwind, i aim for centre of fairway, miss ding by a mm, my ball fly's left straight into the weeds, nice new ball lost. usually if i miss ding by a mm with 20 mph left right wind it wouldn't go as far right as my shot did.  Blatant ball theft.

You miss the ding and it's theft?  You should know by now that once you miss the ding with the TMs and a Callaway ball there are no rules-anything can happen.

What, a mm off ding with tailwind at 12 o'clock, aimed at centre of fairway? I dont know what you've been playing,  but yes, i would expect this if it was halfway between ding and draw line, but not a mm! It MIGHT happen if wind was over 20 mph left to right, but NEVER straight.
