Once again, as I was researching one thing, I came across another and then....
There was this guy, David Johnson, an American who went to watch the 2016 Ryder Cup. He got himself a nice spot beside the Par 3, 8th green, to watch some practice rounds.
The first foursome hit their shots to the green, Rory McIlory, Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose and Andy Sullivan. Rory had a great tee shot which landed approximately 13' from the cup. However, neither he or his partner, Sullivan, could make the putt.
In typical style, David Johnson started to heckle them and yelled out "...even I could make that putt" at which point Sullivan yelled out "Who said that?" Not sure what to do, with all eyes upon him, David Johnson raised his hand and confessed to being the heckler.
Sullivan then commanded the spectator, Johnson, to come down to the green to show them how it was done! It was all in good fun and Justin Rose ran over throwing a $100 bill on the green "just to make it interesting". After trying to deflect, and buy time, Johnson asked for a read on the break but no help was forthcoming...it was time to put up or shut up. He was handed a putter, much too small for his large frame, with all eyes upon him, a hushed crowd, and then this happens:
