Saddens me to think Cosa Nostra will have to sit this one out.  Since YJ's passing the club has just been idle with many of our players moving on, understandably.

I was able to get YJ's son to transfer the club to me but then 3 months later my dad passed, and 5 months after that my father in law.  Slowly getting back to the game but not to the point of truly rebuilding the club.

Will be watching from the sidelines and quietly rooting for any past CN players that are in it this year.

Real life (and death) so often completely changes our plans. Sorry to hear you've had a rough time of it HP.

Running a club, especially a big one is not for the faint-hearted. It's a lot of work and it's even harder when there's a legacy, and a desire to keep it going because of that. CN has been a great club and I hope you can build it up and make it so again, and then maybe next year you can make a triumphant return to the World Cup.

In the meantime, all the best to you and yours and good luck with the club and whatever the future holds.

    Nigel.

Worked with Cosa Nostra on owner transfer and Yankee Jim was a good WGT friend.  I regret you can't play this year.

Appreciate that a lot, Tom and Nigel.

Good luck to all in this years Cup.  Hope to have time to watch more than a few streamed matches.

That's my long term plan Paul.  :)

Just not going to try until I know I have the time it takes to be a "club owner".  Never really wanted to be one, but always enjoyed being the worker bee.  Time to step up eventually I guess.

I remember the first Mini World Cup that I was in, the club was called Eros, I think only had about 11 or 12 players, one of them was Bluey403 which stepped in as captain.

That year we did the group stages twice, so lots of games... we were in the group that had CN and wow what a battle we had with them, we met twice in the group stages, both amazing battles and Eros won both encounters. Then we met in the finals and it was back and forth, until CN took the last few games to win it all.

I miss arguing with YJ and I will miss CN this year..... I hope in his honor that CN will be back next year.

Peace Jim, and I'm sure Bill, Harry, Klaus, Stobs and Snowy will watch it with you.....
