    javito1, Golfos Panellets #191 defeated JMH1, FF Warriors #215 1 up

jav pulled out to a 2 hole lead with birdies on the first 5 holes, jack pulled to within 1 down with a gimmie birdie on #8  Jav widened the lead back to 2 holes with his birdie on #10 but jack closed the gap to one again with a birdie on #13 only to hit a STUPID wedge shot on #14 to fall two behind again. Jack closed the gap to one again with a birdie on 16, both players parred 17 and stuck their approaches for gimmie birdies on 18

twas a fun match, I never could quite dig out of the hole I dug by going two down after 5

    Jack

The rules say that both players have to agree to the clock & the apparel - but they do not say that they have to agree to have their game broadcast on public media ... I do not want my World Cup game broadcast on public media for my own reasons ... but I have been told to basically 'suck it up' by SEL ... I'm sorry but I will play ... but I am not sure why some things are negotiable and others not?

I don't think there's any mandatory rule to broadcast your game. But realistically there's not much you can do if the other player wants to broadcast it on twitch or Discord. But whoever your opponent is, if they are a nice person they should respect your wishes. No one is going to lose any sleep if the match isn't broadcast. Maybe a word to the captain of the team will help.

Quite simply because clock and apparel directly affect the gameplay, streaming doesn't.

I'm not on the world cup committee so I'm speaking for myself here, but the world cup is the single best tournament on wgt, part of what makes it great IS the streaming and the community banter in the chat.

I doubt the rules are ever going to allow one player to impose their conditions on another player's ( and the communities ) fun and enjoyment

I would argue that participation in the world cup means your games may well be streamed.

    Just my 10p worth.

Can we clear this up now on streaming.

A few years ago a player informed thier opponent that he was streaming as they were playing and his opponent went mad and they had an arguement and the player quit the game,

what i did say at the time on a post can you let your opponent know that you will be streaming out of courtesy before you play as you want to chat with your friends and maybe the opponents mates would like to join in.

that has got lost over the years but its not a rule just a courtesy.

i am not going to stop players streaming as this is what the World Cup is about, having the crack with your mates and watching two players go for it on the course but still having a chat.

if the player is not happy about playing to an audience even though they do not have to watch then either concede the game or find a replacement,

this should be sorted in the first few days of contact so plenty of time to find someone else.

i dont want tp put it in the rules as im more than happy for all games to streamed.

let your captain know if you are not happy and a replacement cant be put in,

sorry you feel like this but streaming stays period.

    Finny

PS i might be SEL my friend but am totally impartial on any decisions you can ask  anyone that

Lets agree to disagree. IMHO playing in the WC doesn't mean agreement to stream your matches. One of my players won't stream his matches. I respect that decision. You stream your matches and I get 2 or 3 clever IT geeks in the room and I have all your personal data before you play the 9th hole. We should respect other members wishes. 224 matches in the round robin stage. No one is going to lose sleep over only 223 being streamed.

No one is being forced to stream. It's a personal choice of free will.

If you are arguing that you would not want ME to stream because it affects MY PC's security. I'd say get back in your box and mind your own business about MY security.

    :)
