CC Event #170

  Hey all,

  I'm sure some of you noticed that there are 6 courses in this event instead of the typical 4. 

  Why did we make this change you are asking? 

  Well there was a slight issue that made it so you could see the same course every time. With this we decided to add 2 courses into clashes and this will likely stay for future CC events. 

  With 6 courses in the mix it is even less likely to play the same one again (still possible but that just comes down to RNG).

  Sorry for the late notice on this change, I got sidetracked making the next set of ready-go's and a couple secret projects coming soon!

  I am happy with the change , we have played four , and each time a different course , thanks

  And yet we’ve played 7 clashes so far and have only seen 3 courses (BPB 3x, Oakmont and Olympic 2X each). The more things change, the more they stay the same.

  Didn’t make a difference Nico.  We’ve played Torrey Pines twice now in a row, and saw BPB once and the rest has been Torrey or Oakmont. Fail on WGT’s part.

  Sorry to hear this for others... It has been a huge improvement for us. We had all 6 different courses in our first six, and having played 3 more times now, we still have not had any course more than twice.

  It's unfortunately not a perfect science but 2 extra courses does help limit the variance by quite a bit. Since there is still randomness involved there will always be times where you do see the same course multiple times.

  Thanks for the response.  I was annoyed if you couldn’t tell, TP is not the best course IMO and to have it back to back this morning with same conditions is lame.  I know you are just the messenger and that adding 2 courses is supposed to make the variance better, so thank you for that.  Is there a way to include different set ups?   It has been the same front 9 TP same green speeds and same wind conditions.  As much as I dislike 7.4 greens even that would be nice to break the monotony.

  We haven't seen them all yet, but there's been more variety than usual.  Good change.
