  I watched Greg Norman pour some bottled water on the 17th green in an interview after a game had finished and it just ran down the slope without being absorbed into the grass.

  If the Internationals can get the 4 ball right it should be bit tougher for the US guys, we are way behind the eight ball in this area.

  The players you mentioned are not eligible.  The President's Cup is between the US Team and an International Team that does not include Europe. The Team from Europe plays the US in the Ryder Cup.
