the aids for putting, depending on your style can get thrown off by the putting enhancements. so you have to find what works best for you and your method.
in the showdown, restricting your apparel enhancements, is possibly costing you a stroke or two easily on certain courses, if you are referring to the boosted apparel distances for driver, 3wd or irons.
--what I mean is - on a course like Wolf Creek from the forward tees, dialing back driver can be tricky from my experience, but a boosted maxed out 3wd - is nearly ideal for several short par 4's. if you know those holes are in play - it is wise to have it in play.
however, the challenge is the other courses and holes in play, because a large gap between your 3i and 3wd can be tricky to finesse some of the longer par 3's on say Congo or RSG - where in those cases a maxed out 3i - which plays similar to a 3wd but with better forgiveness and reliability can give you a better shot at birdies on those holes where the boosted 3wd is too much and the default 3i with a headwind may not be enough.
depending on the mix of courses / holes involved - how a coin room player sets up their apparel can easily give them a slightly better shot at eagles on par 4's and maybe bridies on par 3's.
-- I personally have played boosted irons even though it means learning and keeping an extra set of notes to remember how they play - but I have found you can play a much cheaper ball just as competitively as a higher end ball that is sometimes needed with default irons. this is mostly from my experience and observations of coin room play and it often depends on the comfort of the player.
