Championship greens

  I play the RG's often, and there has been an excessive number of them with 'championship' green speeds... Until we can play a 'free' round with those speeds, can we PLEASE calm down with the number of tournaments they are used in?  

  Anyone who is aware of a way to play these greens in something that I don't have to pay for, please let me know.  Thanks!

  I wish every game was on championship greens......the faster the better.

  I can't see WGT making championship available in practise or ranked in order to jazz up the virtual opens and bigger tourneys.

  The more you play on them the more you get used to them.

  I'm sure that is true... I'd only played them when I qualified for the open..  6 months ago ;)  It'd be nice to be able to putt them when I don't have to pay for them...  Right now we can't even get tourney greens in practice rounds...

  The way to get tourney greens to practise on is set up a tournament through your Country Club, you have the option there.

  He was talking about Championship greens, not tourney greens...

  Correct me if I'm wrong....but wasn't the free 18-hole Best-Of tourney on Champ greens for the entire month of November?

  And granted, that was last month...but it gave you an entire month to play on them for free.

  You may be right... the game does offer a ton of free weekly/monthly games.. between that and the CC tournaments and RG's, there's plenty to pick from.. not to mention the alt shot and skins games, etc.

  I didn't see that particular tourney.. the only reason I mention it is because in the last week or two there are a bunch of the RG's using Champ greens, which is something new (to me, anyway).

  Qualified for the December tour, which gives me the priviledge of playing Cabo with championship greens... I have a formula that worked during the US open tourney I qualified for... but it ain't happening.. 4 lip-outs in 7 holes and counting.. lol.. Champ greens = putting the ball into a spot the size of a thimble or it's lip-out city..

  Champ greens don't worry me.... Slow down your putts a bit more... Lip-Outs mean you hitting the ball too hard.

  Champ Greens and High Winds are not that bad on Cabo except for the 18th and it's deadly.... make or break hole.

  I got a little tid bit, if ya like to use formulas...I take the net of the putt and multiply it by 0.72...so if you have a putt of 25' and it's downhill 3" it would be 25-3 = 22 X .72 = 15.84 or 16'. You have to adjust for certain greens and it only works for down hill putts of more than 10', but that will certainly get you closer to making the putts.
