After purchasing a pack of new Nike balls to try them out, i sunk one in the water on #11 at Congressional and this is where you drop my ball at?  You gotta be kidding me.  I'm sorry but this is complete B.S.

Thanks a lot WGT.  This is the kinda of stuff that people get so irate about.

The drop rules in WGT are not exactly the same as in the "Rules of Golf". To say the least.

26-1. Relief for Ball in Water Hazard

It is a question of fact whether a ball that has not been found after having been struck toward a water hazard is in the hazard. In order to apply this Rule, it must be known or virtually certain that the ball is in the hazard. In the absence of such knowledge or certainty, the player must proceed under Rule 27-1.

If a ball is in a water hazard or if it is known or virtually certain that a ball that has not been found is in a water hazard (whether the ball lies in water or not), the player may under penalty of one stroke:

    a. Play a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played (see Rule 20-5); or

    b. Drop a ball behind the water hazard, keeping the point at which the original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind the water hazard the ball may be dropped; or

    c. As additional options available only if the ball last crossed the margin of a lateral water hazard, drop a ball outside the water hazard within two club-lengths of and not nearer the hole than (i) the point where the original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard or (ii) a point on the opposite margin of the water hazard equidistant from the hole.

When proceeding under this Rule, the player may lift and clean his ball or substitute a ball.

(Prohibited actions when ball is in hazard - see Rule 13-4.)
(Ball moving in water in a water hazard - see Rule 14

How about.. this is my 'Bug Report' I'm submitting.  :-)  You know, it's a great game.. we gotta get these little issues fixed.  :-)  I'm sure you understand.  Not that upset about it (well, it was my fault for dropping a new Nike in the water, that part of the blame I will take) but this drop?  C'mon.  Give me a drop behind a tree?  Glad I had the screenshot to prove it!  :-)

How about WGT credit me 1 Ball (or a whole sleeve) of Nike, just like the one I just lost for helping you find this problem.  That only seems fair.

Blah, Blah, Blah... This isn't real life where I can move the darn thing.  But to give me this drop... well.  It's all on them.  That's why I'm promoting to all to take screenshots and post them when they have stuff like this happen to them, to help out WGT, since we're all 'Beta' Testers anyways...    Here you go!!!  WGT has only been in BETA for 3 yrs.. Longer then ANY other company I've ever dealt with.  hmmmmmm...  want me to start a list?  Just saying.. let's get this stuff fixed.  With all the money they have coming in.. why am I getting a drop like this?  How much did you pay for your last Driver or Sleeve of Balls.. just sayin.. Just sayin..  (I.E.  I Beta Test for another company and our deadline is 9 months.. not  3 yrs!  LOL)

I'm sorry, I haven't read all of the answers to this post, but I hope that somebody has already addressed this.... IT'S A GAME!!! On a computer, no less. A GAME. Not life and death, rich or poor, feast or famine, but A GAME. Take your medication, stroll around the block, bump nasties with the one that you love, whatever it takes to calm yourself down, but for the love of God and all that is sacred to yourself, grab some reality. Dear God, man, you come off as some neck-tied, chain-smoking, stock-trading dweeb that is trying to get a real-life kick from a computer game. Go play "FarmVille for a while and cool your head, man. Fu#$ing-A!

U mention just after you bought new NIKE balls you got this drop. This drop zone has been around for months & the shot you play behind the tree never hits the tree & not a big issue (plays invisible) only get this drop spot 1 out of every 10. Is it life changing (nope) , Is it a big deal (nope) is it something to get stressed over (nope) Is it something to have a hissy fit over blah blah blah (nope)  Is it something to beg for balls from WGT = laughable.

Simple way not to get that drop spot , don`t aim so close to the water ?

    A s-shot I took when I first came across it (May 18th)
