Hey, I'm looking for some advice. I'm level 71, about to move up to TM tier, and I'm still playing with the L19 Spider. I like it, my scores are good, and most of my missed putts are my incompetence rather than the Spider misbehaving. Are the higher-level putters noticeably better, and if so, what do people think's the best one to go for? Cheers!

I was in your position a year ago, and moved to the Daytona Rossa. I liked the lower minimum range of 15 ft. Though a lot of the very top players have moved to Ghost Spiders or Rossas, I did some checking before they came out and probably 80% of them had Rossa putters in their bag.

I had the rossa  but up graded to the level 66 ghost spider. If you are happy with the meter on your spider then just try out the ghost spider. I think you will like it. Same meter but you will find the precision and the handling a big improvement. jmo.

I bought a  putter upgrade and found I missed the cup just as much, Not by as much but just as many times.  I now tend to lip the cup atleast 2 or 3 times each round. I am not sure if it was worth the upgrade as opposed to my frame of mind. Now I just get pissed about my putting.  Try "renting" one for a few rounds and see if it feels good.  It doesn't matter how much hype or how much it costs,  If it doesn't feel good then you won't do as well.    good luck.

Are you sure about that? That Spider could (probably is) be causing part of the problem. There's something to be said about precision and that one is low on the list. The Ghost at level 35 has the same meter but almost twice as much precision and 1/2 dot more balance (how your ball holds the line on longer putts.)

Anything more precise than that is going to give you a faster meter with less forgiveness. Any putter you move to is going to be better than what you have but don't expect dividends right away. Give yourself a good number of rounds to get used to whatever you move to. IMO, from where you're at now, I'd go with the level 35 Ghost, in anticipation of ultimately getting the 92 Ghost. The alternative would be going for that Daytona, which is not a bad move. More Legends use that than any other putter.

I went from the basic Spider to the L35 Ghost Spider and there was barely any transition period at all.  Same speed meter, same scales with the addition of a 15 foot one, it's really the same stick only a little better.  It'd probably be a pretty easy transition to the L66 GS, too.  I tried it out during the free rentals, and the meter is just slightly faster, but other than that it felt just like it's younger siblings.

I also tried the Daytona during the free rentals, and it would take some getting used to.  Different scales and a slightly faster meter, of course, but the lines to either side of the ding line move in closer to each other, too.  I use those marks for aiming, the so called miss the ding method, so I didn't know exactly where I was aiming with the Daytona.

I seem to have fewer lip outs with the L35 GS, and my stats are slowly improving, however they were slowly improving with the old red Spider, too.  But I haven't used the L19 since buying the L35, and recently went ahead and sold the L19.

Rossa or Ghost lvl 35. I've been having this same question as him. I really want to upgrade to the 15 ft scale with a slow meter.
