What you and most others are failing to notice  (probably from never playing from them) are the angles of attack we are faced with from the Legend boxes.. St. Andrew's # 11  (being the 2 yard)  and Bethpage # 15 (being the 20 yard) that I'm sure your referring to. In both instances , I would suggest you examine our line of approach before assuming that you've been disadvantaged. I referenced these 2 hole locations from the yardages you brought forth , but there are many more in which our angles are much more challenging than yours. Without a doubt. So after you play Congressional # 4 with a 20 mph. left to right cross wind , come back and talk to me.

this was no atack to the legends, i no that u have a lot more yards to play than i have for example the ocean course think it is hole 13 102y longer,  but i just made a point. maybe my voice was to laud. in that case  apology from me! it was more of a coments to the wgt. and i also no there r some legends ho feel the same as me that it is weird. so apology to these people ho feel that they are afended, not the meaning at all

how can it b that a TM must play much longer than a legend? in some cases just 2 y but in some cases 20y and more on different courses! just asking is that fair?

    Here's the facts:

Over the 72 holes that make up the first four courses ( Kiawah, Bethpage, St. Andrews, & Oakmont) there are exactly THREE holes that are longer for a TM than for a Legend.

Bethpage has 2 of those: the 1st hole ( 5 yards) and the 15th hole ( 20 yards), the 11th @ St. Andrews ( 2 yrds) is the third.

     More facts:

Over those same 72 holes, there are 36 holes that are at least 30 yards longer for the Legends than for TM's.... with 10 of those being more than 50 yrds longer. Those yardages just get even more insane when you talk about lower tiers.

I know this stuff because, as a TM, I made myself a chart to play by when I played against legends. I'm sure there are similar differences on Congressional & Royal St. Georges, but I made legend before those were released and no longer had a need for the chart

Now Peoch ... you complain that you don't have the "best" clubs to compete on those 3 holes. However, any TM, TP, Pro, Amateur,or Hack  that has a high enough level CAN have the same clubs as the best Legends along with a ridiculous difference in the tee boxes.

I'm not complaining about having to play a zillion yards longer. I KNEW these numbers for a long, long time and I still spent a solid week grinding some tournament from pro tees to get myself moved up to the  legend tier.

The title of your thread is probably what made your voice seem a bit laud. Never a good idea to have the words "im pissed" in a friendly post.
