I hope Bootsie won't mind, but I'd like to remind people that in this sort of competition it requires people to make some effort to arrange games, especially people in vastly different time zones. So can everybody do their best to make this a great competition by contacting their opponents, friending them and giving them windows of availability. I thank you.

My partner and I have posted on our opponents wall for a tee time with no response as of yet.

I have even posted on the tournament organizer's board stating the situation.

TLD and I (THE DARKHEELS) managed a one up win in our match versus Tim and Fede in a very well played match.  We managed to birdie the last four holes to win one up, they played them in 3 under with an eagle and a birdie on 9.

Well played match against two really nice guys.

    Boots,

Alas not being a mod on these forums I have no control whatsoever as to what others may post.

To answer your question re 1 second :  The lobby timer was at 00:01 as my partner finally managed to appear back online. Invites were sent immediately to our match opponents to ascertain what the next step would be, alas within that time scale one of our opponents had gone 'red'.

Given that I'd originally agreed to the first  time/date requested  to play our opponents only for them to request a change days later and then for me to offer a 14 hour window on any given day I  thought it would have been a fair outcome to ask  for a continuance/replay of the match.

My original comment/request was aimed at our opponents. Since no reply has been proferred at this point -  and before anyone else responds leading to myself being 'kicked out '  - my partner and I will respectfully withdraw.

I'd really like to wish the 'winners' of our match the very best for the remainder of the event - as I say, I'd like to.

    Lesson learned.

    Hugssssssssss,

    Johnny.

there's some pretty desperate folks out there who will take the win regardless lol....that's just the difference between the virtual game & the real life game.

i wouldn't worry about it too much as you're not the 1st person this has happened too so far and won't be the last.

    it's all fun.

    tbe

    tbe,

With you being a fellow Scot I've no doubt your input - whilst appreciated - would have at this point led to you being seen to be impartial and myself being  flogged repeatedly whilst standing bare foot on hot coals as I'm being 'KICKED OUT' anyway.

How very dare you post a point of view in a forum, Sir...tsk tsk.

    LMAO

    ;o)

Well it takes time to get answers and that is exactly what I was doing. Both members of the team you were playing are willing to replay that game. Now let's get something straight..... opinions aren't what I warned your friend about. Making comments unjustly against another team before anyone knew what was happening to stir up an argument is what I warned him about. Impatience is no one's friend when it comes to any type of game and computers lack a sense of emotion.Combined together they are a deadly duo at times.

If you choose to withdraw that's your choice but that would be due to lack of impatience not because another team RIPPED you off out of a game as which was being projected inside this forum.

Okay heard from the other player today and it was simply your member just didn't make it back in time and yes they both were willing to replay you guys again even though the rules clearly stated they didn't have to. I'm going to go ahead and accept your withdrawal. ...  and while I respect that the game may of screwed your team up it wasn't the players or game that caused the loss. It was self inflicted =(

Congrats team Aspen you are headed to round 2
