  Icon ,backwater is what we here in Kentucky and some of the surrounding states call flood waters. When the river goes above flood stage we say "the backwater is rising" I have no idea why it is called that unless it's because the waters back out of the river.

  i would guess that you are not too far away from a dam

  Having read this thread through, I can honestly say that I genuinely feel for players like Fabien and Walter who have rightly qualified for this tournament. I was surprised when I got in given my 4th placing in November and having seen all this info, it now makes sense why I made it.

  Given that I've benefited from their loss, I'll put in writing that if by a WGT miracle I were to gain from this situation, I'd gift 25% each of the winnings to the two players who suffered. Now that this is out there, would the eight others kindly WD on R3 so that I can get on with playing the good samaritan ;)

  Three people gain or just one......come on everyone, you know it makes sense! Oh well then, you two'll just have to cheer me on to successive 50's from the tips lol

  Thank you Jim! Honestly, you would win this tournament I would just decline your very kind and generous offer :) . I just wanted to play officially this final (knowing that I couldn't win the prize), no much asking I guess :) .

   not eligible to enter Any tournament which has a random prize , random drawing , sweepstakes , ctth tournaments like weekly , monthly , OPEN and USA open $500 ctth gift card prize , random drawing of pebble beach holiday.   Most other tournament which includes a holiday for 1st prize.

  ^^^ always haft to read rules of tournament before I enter it :o(  not sure why can win in some tournaments and not eligible in others and the rule in place there..

   

  I'll send a letter to Anna Bligh :-)

  You are a good guy Fabian and obviously  asking nothing but for  a fair shake.  Hopefully these comments and suggestions are taken to heart and an amicable resolution can be found. One that allows you and others in similar situations to compete in events with alternative solutions for awards that stay within the letter of the law.

  With 3 rounds in the books Bollox has been schooling the field.  Sam is  leading the field by 3 shots going into 4th and final round.

  that's a pitty that there is no more publicity/visibility for this competition. Most people don't even know that this competition is running now...

  Yes Sam is doing well. We all know that he is a great player, probably the best now, but even if you are the best, it's always difficult to play 4 particular rounds at your best level (or close to).

  The last round will be interesting but with 3 shots ahead Sam has a good chance to win it.

  yeah i agree genorb, there is very little of interest it seems in this end of fall tourny.

  But I for 1 have been keeping a keen eye on how the guys are doing by checking their profiles...just noticed BB shot 55 and i think it was BPB. This could be the score that seals it.

  if round 4 is set up really tough ( do not know course ), i feel this will be the only chance for the chasing pack...will look on with interest :)

  You are right, only a tough round could still give a chance to several players. They already had the best of hardest hole in round 1. Oakmont with high wind and championship greens could be nice. RSG with high wind is pretty hard also, but high wind on this course is not good, the score posted depends too much if you had a good wind set or not.

  We will see :).

  Another possibility would be Cabo since it's like a tough par-66. lol
