Just tried the Jan. Winter Tournament.......... took a ass whipping.

Is there anything out there that lets an amerture or early pro play against others equal?

Just seems impossible ( only played for a month ) how anyone shoots a 64 much less a 54????

    Welcome to the WGT! LOL

I've been playing almost everyday since I joined 8 months ago.

I shot my best round ever a couple days ago a challenge from a friend,

St Andrews Links: The Old Course    Front 9    Master    30

I have struggled to get my avg down to where it is now 65.18.

Keep at it, you'll figure it out sooner or later.

For me the BIGGEST problem I have is my reaction time. I just cannot hit the ding consistently. I blame it on the fact that I'm not 20 anymore.

OH, and remember the higher tier you attain the harder the game gets.

    Good Luck

Thanks......... at least I'm talking to a person !

I was bedinning to think there were no real people out there and all was a trick. Asked a few questions here and there and never heard a reply.

Hell I don't even remember being twenty, I have golf balls and shoes older than that. My reaction time on putts just drives me crazy....... was it that way for you at first?

Is there tournaments for us mid-beginners too?

    Jim

I would suggest that you spend a lot of time reading the forums and trying out many of the tips that are on here.  Also you can gain a lot of knowledge from playing with better players who will readily give you tips on your game.  As one of the older WGT guys I can say that there are many of us who enjoy helping the newbies.

    thanks friend........

does get frustrating...... to hit half a 65 yd. sandwedge and it go 10 yards is getting freaking old...

lets play sometimes....... thanks for taking the time.

Jim, welcome to WGT.  Here are some live videos of me playing.  This way you will get to take a look at what I'm doing from a 1st person point of view.  I'm not the best player on here, but I think I'm good enough for you to learn from.

Welcome to our great game. The more you play the game the better you will get. The very low scores are gettable, with plenty of practice. Never try to beat a 53,.... Just try and beat your lowest score, then the game can be fun.

As previously said read the Forums for great Tips, ignore all the rubbish ones though or better still have a laugh at them...lol. Watching all the Videos that people make are very good learning tools too.

Danny if your having trouble dinging it, don't try to.. I have the same problem, but I have learnt to slightly miss it.

    Good Luck

There's a monthly open that will only include your specific tier
