I feel ya on that. I've been on wgt for a little while now. Still cant get the putting down.Just frustrating to know people out there shot a 54, and i cant even get a 69. I'm just saying cause i have'nt found a game made that cant be beat. But this on is really getting you know a lil retarded. Just tired of getting in these tourney's to just be blown out by someone it seems like has a bot. Sry if offended anyone, but just calling it like i see it. Even though they say there are none for WGT.

Thanks so much to all of you,,,,,,, feels better to know you would take the time for a beginner. Some of the scores I see can be real discouraging.... but this helps.......

Is fun,,,,,, but like real golf, drives me crazy at times............. you too huh?

Will start watching some of your videos now..............where and how do you get into this tierd open you mention?

Thanks again to you all...... hope to keep some kind of dialog there.

PS: am in Oklahoma ( Sooner fan ),,,, anyone close by?

    Hey Jim,

Just to say I had the same problem with putting when I started, ( Hell, I'me still having problems!!! LOL:~))

I found some brilliant tips on this forum post:

    "Putting Tip: Distance Control"

He is actually talking about starter putter and standard greens in his teachings and gives you tips on avatar movements to work out distance rather than filling your head with formulas and numbers.

I found it extremely helpful and I still use the same way of putting to this day.

It certainly helped me get from Amateur to Master in about 6 months.

Try it. You can't lose and you might gain.

    Happy Golfing

    Thanks everyone,

Am going to try the putting distance thing..........

Also helped to watch some more videos... like longwedge, dude is gooood !

I got some practice to do,,, but it does appear that the balls and clubs do make a difference, my balls do not back up or even stop like his.......... butt think I'll wait a bit for more changes and just play a bit.

The easiest way to get to the Free Tiered Comps is the bottom of your game screen... click 'Tournament' ... Click 'Stroke' and there are all there.... You have the free stroke comps at the top half....

Also, good way of practicing you approach shots... go in the free CTTH comps.

Same thing on the game screen... 'Tournaments'   then click ' Closest To Hole' most of them are free to....

Heres another tip for CTTH's ..... write down on a piece of paper...what club, how far you hit, what wind. The next time you play the same one, do it again on your notes.... You get to know what to hit and how far (depends on wind too) after awhile.

Don't worry bout the leading scores.... this is how you can get with heaps of game play

Howdy Jim and welcome! For me the single biggest improvement I made to my game was balls. Way back when I started here it drove me nuts how I could never stop a ball anywhere near the pin ( or most times even keep it on the green...lol ) One day a Legend level player sent a random invite and he gave me a bunch of tips that really helped a ton, But above all he keep telling me to get better balls and I did. ( I had the free balls at the time ) Bingo! it helped more than anything I had done so far. try a ball with as much back spin as you can get and it really will make a dent in your scores.

                                   Good Luck and Great Golf!!

To add to what you havealready heard, told, read.  A ball with spin ability is the biggest, cheapest, change you can make at your level.  i can recommend the WGT GS13 s  for spin, or the GS13 D for distance, both will slow down the swing meter.  That makes your accuracy much better. With the better accuracy you will get bolder, and try to "beat" the course, you will gain great confidence in what you can or can not do.  Makes a tremendous differance..     My nickle, hope it helps.
