I used to play Microsoft Links golf, and there is a putting formula that involved counting the break steps.  I experimented with different ways of counting the break steps here with WGT but no luck :(

I think there is no math formula with WGT, it's just a matter of practice and practice.

I wish there was a practice putting green here at WGT...but I'm guessing that will never happen.

The Power I was taught on breaks was, Every yard aimed away from the flag, add 6inches of power. So, for instance, you are aiming 6 foot to the right of the flag, add one foot of power. Don't forget to take in to consideration the speed of the green and the speed of the incline/decline. Adjust as you would for normal distance with no break. I was also told that you need to take more break on a down slope than you would on an up slope because of the lack of power used.

    Seems to work,

    Also, to Westview,

You said ''I wish there was a practice putting green here at WGT...but I'm guessing that will never happen.''  As it happens, you have 108 putting greens.

If you go to WGTCommunity at the top of the page. Click for the drop down menu, Golf Courses, and you have a choice of the 6 main courses on wgt. choose one of them and you can play any ONE of the holes on that course. OK, You only have a maximum of 10 shots in which to practice but just keep playing again and practice all you want

Practice, yes, no doubt, Piztaker, as experience is the ground upon which knowledge is built. But I personally use a formula, which I have expounded here http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/84422.aspx

    I hope it will help.
