Since putting competiton was a success, I thought it would be fun to create and sponsor a chipping competition. It will be open until March 9th 12am, EST, after which, whoever qualifies, will be selected randomly by me.

Here are the rules and requirements:

    1. Chip has to be for birdie (and go in), only on hole #4, and to the left or behind the green. It cannot be in front of the green or in the front ruff. If it's from the left side, it should be at LEAST 16 yards from the hole

    2. Chip has to be saved as a replay (in single mode competition)

    3. Once rule #1 and #2 have been achieved, post a comment on my wall and i will check it.

    FAQ:

    1. Why only birdie? Because it becomes MUCH easier to make it with second attempt.

    2. Why such strict rules from where to chip? The reasoning is the following: 1, it's much easier to make a chip from front than side/back. 2. It's much harder  to actually aim and get in those 2 spots in comparison to front ruff.

    3. Prizes: WGT gear: tshirts and/or hats and/or usb drives, and/or golf balls. I will pick 3 winners and they will receive the prizes.

    ---

Please note that while everyone is welcome, since the prizes will have to be shipped by me, I can only guarantee shipping them in the USA. The shipping charges outside the USA, along with the tarrifs, and the customs paperwork required, make it impossible foe me to do so. If something changes, i will let you guys know in the thread. Thank you for understanding!

    ---

    4. I reserve the right to add/edit/change rules, format, prizes or anything else we see fit to accomodate the competition.

    5. I shall be the final judge of this competition. My decisions are final. By entering and competing in this challenge, you awknowledge and agree to aforementioned terms.

    6. Good Luck!

    Let the putting begin

Didn't get it on #4 yet, but just had one on #5 :). I know it wasn't on the right hole, but it was a great chip!! I saved it for anybody to look at.

    13 Feb 2009 #4 - flop shot for birdie

This may not qualify me as it's a FLOP shot and not a CHIP.  I need a ruling from the tournament officials.

Also, are we limited to just 1 entry or can we submit another if we happen to get lucky and get what we think is a better chip-in (longer more difficult break) between now and the end of the tournament?

    Thanks

I DQ'ed the FLOP shot I posted earlier as I was inside the minimum distance required (I was at 15 yards... one needs to be at least 16 yards or more away).   Sorry about that.

     hi

the distance is fine. the length rule only applies to the shot from the side.

but, like u said, it was a flop not a chip, so it does not quality.

    very nice either way! :)
